Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: Jennifrann/Jen
CHALLENGE:
Put a dog (or two, or three...) on your card.
CARD TYPE/THEME: Thinking of You, Hello, Encouragement, Sunshine, Humorous
We're off to Colorado this week to bring some cheer to Lee Ann, a friend of longtime SCSer, Bailmac (Pam). Lee Ann has struggled a long time with her health. She has a disease that acts like cancer and has to have quarterly chemo for the rest of her life. The chemo has wiped out her immune system which, subsequently, requires immunotherapy transfusions. Lee Ann recently had to have her gall bladder removed and had an extended stay at the hospital due to excessive bleeding. Lee An is anxious and discouraged; she feels that nobody "gets it" when it comes to her health issues; they kind of roll their eyes as if to say "sick again?". Pam asked for a tea party for Lee Ann to shower her with love and let her know that there are people out there that do "get it". Lee Ann has two Basset Hounds, her old Black Lab service dog (and a new black lab service dog), a little Frenchie, and a giant Swiss Mountain Dog. Obviously, she loves dogs. Lee Ann also has a cat, loves flowers, anything tie-dye, and all things beautiful. She is also artistic herself making jewelry and tie dye scarves. Pam added that Lee Ann is snarky and loves good humor.

Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to jacqueline via PM or e-mail [email protected]. Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.
To Jen and the rest of the teapotters! A heartfelt thank you to you all for having Lee Ann as the teapot recipient. I sure hope we can get lots of people to play today! I spoke with Lee Ann yesterday and they finally took out the 5 stents they’d left in since her gall bladder surgery...like 6 weeks ago. While we spoke, the dogs followed her everywhere. She finally ended up in the bathroom with the door closed with all the dogs sitting outside the door!

My card for Lee Ann. Had to get the “tie dye” in there somehow (then noticed Polly had already done this and much better). And, of course, lots of DOGS! A little busy (ya think?) but hopefully it’ll brighten her day.

That is wonderful news that the cards are pouring in Pam and that she is thrilled. Mine will take awhile coming from Canada, but that will prolong the fun for Lee Ann!
