MMTPT582~Sept 17, 2019~ Put a Smile on their Face!!
WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY CHALLENGE MMTPT582 "Put a Smile on their Face"
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
We're going to spread some sunshine and have a teaparty for hospitalized kids. No one in particular, just a child that can use a little encouragement and warm fuzzies. Some of the patients suffer from medical conditions that are chronic, life-long, progressive and/or terminal. The hospital has a few guidelines which are listed below. They must be adhered to or your card will not be distributed. This destination will also be added to the Sunshine Station so the information will be available if you'd like to send additional cards in the future.
It's recommended that you write uplifting messages such as:
*Stay strong
*You are awesome
*Never forget how amazing YOU are
*You rock
*I hope you have a great day today
*You shine brighter than the sun
*You inspire me
*Be Brave
*I believe in YOU
*You can also come up with your own uplifting comments.
At the request of hospitals, please do NOT write: "Get well", "Feel Better", or other illness related comments.
Sign your card with your first name only or your name and state (i.e. Anita from France)
Since we do not yet know the child's name, you do not have to address the card to a specific person. Please Do NOT:
*do not include any personal information, such as: phone number, address, email address etc. Hospitals will not allow cards with this information to be distributed.
*do not write any religious comments such as: "God Bless" or "I'm praying for you", Hospitals do not allow cards with these comments to be distributed. Hospitals treat patients of all religions as well as patients that do not practice religion, which is why they do not allow cards containing religious comments. Challenge:
I've put the destination before you discover my challenge, so you understand why I would like you to use Teddy Bears, Stuffed Animals or Toys on your cards.
You can use a stamp, die cuts or make a fun shaped card, I was thinking also about texture, maybe fabric or felt, something soft to touch, you could die cut critters from felt, just make it fun for these kids to put a smile on their face!!
Send your cards to:
Cards for Hospitalized Kids
7290 W. Devon
Chicago, IL 60631
Be sure to use the keyword MMTPT582in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card.
Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or just some warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Post your request HERE or send a PM to jacqueline.

I’m going to have soooo much fun with this challenge! I love teddy bears! I have several images I can use. Tomorrow is really busy for me, so I’ll probably be playing all week.

I'm not sure if I will have time to play but I will send a box of cards out to them. I have lots of Lawn Fawn cards with cute critters on them that would be perfect for this. Thanks for sharing this destination.

I thought of "toys" as something not just in stuffed toys, but also something they can "dress-up" in, so here's my Stay Strong card. Looking forward to sending this. Thank you!

A great cause and organization- I will be sending them more than just this celebration card!!! Thanks for this link!
The hospital I used to work at is affiliated with Lurie Childrens hospital, so we used to get some pretty sick kids coming through. And, they also built a Ronald McDonald House across the street from it.
this is awesome ! I printed the instructions from their web site and I think I'll just continue sending cards... I can start off with kiddie cards in my stash for now, and plan on adding more to send at least monthly !
Thanks !
Made these so far, but will be making some more. I couldn't think of any "boy" images I had yesterday, but today it's Talk Like a Pirate Day and I have lots of pirate stamps. More to come, so far MMTPT582 Kids' Cards by casep - at Splitcoaststampers

Here is one that I just completed and I also have another in my stash I Did in DTGD19 and would love to coward it there as well. Mahalos Fairy Much Sis for this precious challenge!!
I am playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking and catching up on my SCS postings as well. Following the challenge requirements this card would spread sunshine at the children's tea party had it been timely, but my card was for my oldest daughter's birthday.
