It's the last Tuesday of the month, so it's Tickle a Teapotter time again and this month we are delighted to have
Dr Sonja, Sonja as our hostess.
Here's the challenge she has for us.
I did consult Wikipedia and found that many European countries and Western hemisphere countries celebrate some form of April Fool's Day. Since this day is one for tricks and jokes, I would like to challenge the crafty sistahs of SCS to create a fun filled card that will bring a surprise and smile to the faces of our Teapotters from around the world. Use fun and fanciful embellishments like feathers, confetti, things that sparkle, spin and shine. Make a pun or a joke. Conceal the punch line on the inside of the card.
CHALLENGE: Make a card with a fun or surprise element
EPEC (extra points for extra cookies):I have memories of playing the silly Jack-in-the-box toy with my sister who is 5 years younger. I would start the cranking fast and then slow down to an achingly tantalizing note-by-note to drag out the suspense for the clown to POP out of the metal box. For BONUS cookies: make a card where something POPS out when the recipient opens the card or pulls a tab!
DESTINATION STATION:
This week our destination is each other! Once a month, we send our cards to each other!
-Check out THIS NEW THREAD in the TEApot Tuesday Extras Forum. If you are participating in the card exchange please go to this thread and follow the instructions. Make sure to sign up by bedtime on Saturday 30th of March, as I will do the draw the next morning.
Be sure to use KEYWORD MMTPT557 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card! o you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Post your request HERE or send a PM to jacqueline.
Surprisingly, ha, because I love pop-ups, I struggled with this. I think because I really wanted to make a twisted pop-up card, so I'm glad to see that Jen did. But I couldn't think what theme to use. When I decided to be inspired by the pot, it all came together. I've also been wanting for ages to make a string spinner card - so I was thrilled to see Sonja's cute one. Maybe that will inspire me to do and not just think about...
Here is my card, front and part of the inside. Doesn't look too hard but there was much aligning with the stamping platform, trial and error, some error. I'll finish the third part soon.
A few days late to the party, but sure had fun making a Wiper Card for Sonja’s Challenge!!
I uploaded 2 photos- closed & open, and Here is the link to the open version.
Thanks Sonja!

I've been trying to delete that post but I'm not having any success. Isn't there a delete button? I also tried to copy and delete but I felt like it wasn't working. Arghghghg.

I am playing Challenge cardmaking, and hopefully, doing some catching up, as well.
I'm late to the party, so my card is a belated "welcome to the world" card for my third granddaughter for her Grandma Keepsakes box.
The challenge is to make a card with a surprise element. This definitely fits the criteria...one surprise is that most people can not figure out how to open it, and when they do, lots of surprise things pop up and out of the box!
