WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY
THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY
AND CHALLENGE #405
MMTPT405 There's No Place Like Home
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
Polly (peeps321) is our guest hostess this month - and here's her story:
Before the days of DVDs, Netflix, and On Demand we turned to basic TV and had to rely on others to manage our entertainment choices. As a child one event my friends and classmates looked forward to was the annual airing of that magical show full of lions, tigers, and bears ..Oh My!! Of course I'm referring to the iconic film The Wizard of Oz. There was great anticipation and planning for the big event...popcorn and Kool Aid were enjoyed by my sister and I as we took that trip down the yellow brick road with Dorothy and her friends. We marveled at the switch from black and white to color on the TV. We tried to predict when it would occur and why they did that....did they invent color film in the middle of shooting. Who knew? The day after the big event would be akin to a Super Bowl analysis....we loved the part when the house fell on that Wicked Witch and how her striped feet rolled up after the ruby slippers were magically transferred to Dorothy's feet. That part was certainly giggle worthy. We all wanted one of those giant suckers that the Lollipop Guild presented to her. The straw brained Scarecrow was a delight! We pondered how the Tin Man could survive in that giant hollow sounding sardine can. We fell in love with the cuddly but cowardly Lion. The Emerald City....the flying monkeys."I'm Melting..."Who is that man behind the curtain?"....Poppies...We all have our favorite moments don't we? So whether you're a fan of Auntie Em, Glinda the Good Witch, or A Horse of Another color...it's time to tickle your fellow Teapotter and go Somewhere Over The Rainbow (yes, you can start singing now)
Challenge Translation: Make a card with The Wizard of Oz in mind:...bring your favorite character (Toto, too), a yellow brick road, hot air balloons, poppies, rainbows, any place that symbolizes home....
EPEC: ...and extra cookies if you include the ruby slippers somewhere on your card. Now off you go but before your proceed tap your heels together and repeat three times.."There's no place like home...Theres no place like home.Theres no place like home."
DESTINATION STATION: This week our destination is each other! Once a month, we send our cards to each other! A little payback and reward to the teapotters for always sending their cards to the recipient of the Destination Station.
 I have started this new thread in the Teapot Tuesday Extras Forum. If you are participating in the card exchange please go to this thread and follow the instructions.
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT405 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card! If you are confused about these challenges, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges.

When I click on your link to the gallery it only shows some of the cards not all...??? But If I go to my card for example and click on the MMTPT405 keyword it will show them all
I think there's something a little weird with the gallery just now - I noticed odd formatting when I posted a link yesterday. I'm sorry I missed yours, Polly - I did check before making the challenge live this morning. Linked now, and I'll try a different type of search to create the gallery.
The challenge this week on Tea Potter's is to use something or someone from the Wizard of Oz. I chose Dorothy. I wanted extra cookies so I put the ruby slippers inside. MMTPT405 Dorthy

I made this for a card sketch challenge a few months ago but it is perfect for this theme so I thought I'd share. It was a fun but challenging card to make (lot's of elements to it) and I apologize to anyone from Kansas.
Woo Hoo, I finally got some stamping time! Thank you Polly for a marvelous trip down memory lane. I loved when Wizard of Oz came on, Peter Pan too! However, my older brothers hated it. Fortunately for me, my mom loved both movies and made it a big event. I love all the cards in the gallery, can't wait to receive one of them!!
