White is so Lame; Color is the Name of this Game
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! The Rest of the Story:
1: "Oh the weather outside is frightful" That refrain has been going through a lot of heads these days. And so it has been going through Miss Dora Lee's noggin. Miss Dora Lee really really hates winter. She hates the wind, the snow, the ice, the bleary soppy foggy feelings and most of all she HATES (I mean really really HATES) white. Nothing is more blah to her than all that white. Well, there is gray fog, gray sludge you could argue but she will just tell you that it is another shade of white. And don't give her any of the 50 shades nonsense either.
2: Most of the year Miss Dora Lee's house, gardens and porches are a riot of color. A virtual fiesta for the eyes and senses. She has flowers in every color. Pots of flowers on the porch and steps. Baskets of flowers hanging from the porch railings. Boxes of flowers under each window. Rows and rows or riotous color in the yards, along the walks, around the base of the trees, climbing up the mailbox, the fence posts, and the porch posts. Why even one yr, her Clematis got out of control and crawled all the way up the lightpole. TEEHEE....it sure was pretty.
3: She has thought of all kinds of ways to brighten up things in winter. First she thought about spraying the snow in wild tie-dye type patterns. But the list of chemicals on the can scared her off; would prob. kill her flowers. Then she thought about hundreds and hundreds of cheap silk flowers to stick in the pots. But they look rather shabby after only one snow fall so that wouldn't work either. And each winter her dismay gets worse. There just has to be a way.
4: But short of moving further south for the winter (although that does have it's appeal) she hasn't figured anything out yet.
5: So Teapotters, we need to get some cheery, vibrant, even riotous spots of color right away. We need to prevent Miss Dora Lee getting even more depressed. Spring will be here again and until then we have to prevent the droopy doldrums from stopping around here.
Challenge Translation:
Colorful flowers, colorful blooms in colorful pots, or just colorful pots. We need color to brighten the dreary gray day. If you leave much white space, you will need to find the back door.

Miss Dora Lee is quite the cook so bring along a recipe or two and grab some extra cookies. Mimosa anyone? Dandelion wine? Or maybe someone has a recipe for flower tea. Wouldn't that be right up her alley!!
