MMTPT138 ~ ARE YOU OUTA YOUR GOURD? I ORDERED A FORD!
2 Attachment(s)
WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY AND CHALLENGE #138 ARE YOU OUTA YOUR GOURD? I ORDERED A FORD! Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun! This is my story! 1. Are you wondering how we ended up with a Chef this week? Well, I am too! How does this happen? I know you all wanted new cars! I guess the cousin of the friend of the sister of the teapotter's mother's brother's wife who's uncle's cousin's brother's best friend said he could hook us up, couldn't! Our special pricing on new cars has turned into an extra breadstick if they aren't burnt! 2. Meet MUSTANG Sally and Delores TAURUS! As evidenced by their names, their father is a die hard SUPER-DUTY FORD man who is frustrated because his daughters drive their FORDS around living their life like it's a FIESTA! They ESCAPE responsibility, live on the EDGE, and despite their father's FLEXibility, they can't seem to FOCUS on getting jobs and settling down! That's it! Their EXPEDITION in fun is over, he's driving his F-150 down to the FORD Dealer that he spends $42,000 a week at and making some demands! Either they hire his daughters or he's taking his business elsewhere. It's that simple! 3. As you can well imagine, MUSTANG Sally and Delores TAURUS know they can throw their weight around, they are the daughter's of the best Ford customer after all! That's why Marco Mancini, the incredible Italian hunk they recently met is the newest car salesman! He doesn't know a thing about cars but look at him! Does that really matter? Well, no, it didn't, not until their father ordered a new car and Marco drove up in a Chevy! Are You Outa Your Gourd? I Ordered A Ford! I Know You're Adored, But It's Not Quite a Ford! To Get Off The Hook, I Hope You Can Cook! Turns out their father is having a little get together of his closest friends to watch the Boston Bruins! This Italian hunk better know how to cater and cook or learn quick from a book! 4. Guess what? Marco can't cook and he can't find a book but he's really quite wise as he found a disquise. Looking quite different, with fat and a hat, he knows in his heart, he can play this Chef part. Rut roh! Time to get create a diversion! According to MUSTANG Sally and Delores TAURUS, these are the things that will keep their father's mind off the shortcomings of their Italian hunk! Bring cars, any kind just pretend they are Fords! Bring food, any kind, Italian is good, but Steak and Crab would be fab! Bring anything hockey, Boston Bruin or any. Bring football or gardening so his mood won't be hardening! Bring books or some cooks, don't worry about their looks! Bring what you can find to keep Marco off his mind! If you drive out to the levy and bring a nice Chevy, its the back door for you! CHALLENGE TRANSLATION! Bring a masculine card. Bring cars, trucks, any kind. Bring hockey, football and gardening. Bring food, books, or cooks! Destination Station #138 This week's destination is Brampton, Ontario. We will be sending our cards to Kim, the cousin of fellow SCSer/Teapotter Laurie (Virgo05). Kim was diagnosed 3 weeks ago with stage 4 prostate cancer which has spread to his bones. Kim is young, only 41. A recent bone scan showed the cancer is in his arms, legs, spine & pelvis. Kim was relieved to find it had not spread to his other organs. He considers this a good sign. Kim has started radiation treatment as well as hormone therapy and he continues to remain positive yet realistic! For more information including the address to mail your card, please visit the Post #193 in the Teapot Tuesday Destination Station thread, should you decide to send your challenge card to Kim. Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your cards. It is strictly voluntary. Here is my card. Here is the awesome card that Laurie made for her cousin, Kim. Here is a Quick Link to the Teapot Tuesday #138 Challenge Gallery . Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT138 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card! Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? SCS has given me permission to create an email Teapot Tuesday Cheater Group and email the challenge out on the Friday before the Tuesday of the challenge so you girls can have the weekend to make your card. Send me a pm with your email address if you wanna be a Cheater! If you dont' want to cheat, I am posting a sneak peak on my blog each week showing you a glimpse of the following week's teapot as well as a hint of the story! It's at the end of the Teapot Tuesday Post each week. I usually post it sometimes during the weekend before the next Tuesday! If you are confused about these challenges, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges. Feel free to grab this I survived Teapot Tuesday Badge for your blog! |
Another worthy recipient, Cindy. So sad how cancer is affecting SO many good people. Hope my card brings Kim some cheer.
Hope every sender remembers to add extra postage if they are sending their card from the USA! HANG IN THERE |
I hope Kim enjoys all the cards he will be receiving shortly. Sallie is right, it seems like so many people, young and old, are suffering from horrid cancer. Here is my card.

Notice of filing: Who is the CHALLENGER that made the DISCOVERY that decided the TAURUS and MUSTANG would be the FOCUS of this weeks' ODYSSEY? As a LINCOLN and DEFENDER against the FOCUS of the FORD ALLIANCE I remain LOYALE to my LEGACY and feel I must PROBE this VENTURE and RALLY around my TOWNCAR.
On a more serious note, actually when you see my card you will see it is far from serious, here is my "Locust Lincoln Dealership" |

My oldest brother passed away in 1996, but back in the late 60's, he had a 1956 Ford Step-Side pickup. It was painted Competition Orange and had shiny chrome bumpers, hub caps and door handles. I thought of that, and him, when I made my card for Kim.

Hello everyone. I wanted to stop in and say thank you for all the lovely comments on my card for this challenge. They were all such nice comments. As some of you know, its been a while since I have been able to come to a teaparty. Now that I finally made it back I hope I can continue coming. I love MotherMark and her teaparties. And I love all the wonderful people I meet at these teaparties. I had a newbie ask me where to start she said she was so confused and wanted to start somewhere solid. I told her to try going to a teaparty. I do hope she comes. Well again, thank you for all the wonderful comments on my card. ((((((huggs))))))

I might be out of my gourd . . .
ok, please bear with me as I'm new to the Teapot Tuesdays Challenges! I was inspired by the request for a card for Kim. He's only a few years younger than I am and he lives fairly close to where I do. I THINK my card is based on a Ford . . . pls see my card description for that story!
I don't have the crazy sense of humour that many of you seem to have but I'm game to offer what I can . . . it sure looks like you have a lot of fun! Anyway, here's my card |
