Default Stash Busters January 2015, Week 2

Welcome to a New Year of Stashbusters! The purpose of this challenge is to use up items that have been in your stash for a long time. I will post a new layout every Monday to (hopefully) inspire you to dig out something old and get it on a page! If you donít have one of the required elements, please donít go out and buy it...the idea is to use up the old to make room for the new! Use a suitable replacement instead and have fun! Those who choose to participate and complete all the weekly challenges (the current month), will go into the Stash Buster ďHall of FameĒ

It was awesome to see all the layouts for the first week! Hereís my page for week 2 and the requirements. Feel free to complete a one or two page layout.

Hereís my layout: 4th of July
The requirements for this weeks challenge are:

1. Use at least two different types of metal accents. I used some star shaped eyelets. Even had to create a custom color eyelet (*see how to below), two conchos (with a star eyelet inside), and I used a few sequin stars.
2. Use a paper punch. I used a star to mount my eyelets on.
3. Use Patterned Paper as your main paper.

Please use this keyword in your completed layout to the gallery so we can see the pages you create: Copy and paste the keyword: stash15jan2 to make sure it gets to the right gallery.

Hereís the Gallery: January Stash Busters

If youíre participating in the Scrapbooking Goals, donít forget to use the link: sbc15jan

*Holding the eyelet or brad with a pair of tweezers, heat the top with an embossing gun. Dip into regular embossing powder and remove. Use the heat gun to completely melt powder until smooth). Let it cool for a few minutes before touching it. If you do this with an eyelet, carefully mount it (I tapped it twice then reheated it to remove a couple of cracks).

Wow, finally got to play along with one of the challenges again! Probably won't get all four for the month done, but I'm happy to complete this one.

Here's my version of week 2. I did use a die cut from my stash instead of a punch...4 items gone 999,999 left to use...LOL. Hope to work on 3 & 4 later today!

Here's my page. I use a metal bird clip and brads and yellow pp as my background.
