Arrow Stash Busters January 2015, Week 1

Welcome to a New Year of Stashbusters! The purpose of this challenge is to use up items that have been in your stash for a long time. I will post a new layout every Monday to (hopefully) inspire you to dig out something old and get it on a page! If you donít have one of the required elements, please donít go out and buy it...the idea is to use up the old to make room for the new! Use a suitable replacement instead and have fun! Those who choose to participate and complete all the weekly challenges (for the current month), will go into the Stash Buster ďHall of Fame"

Iíve been scrapping since 1998 and Iíve collected quite a Ďstashí of items. Iíve seen a lot of trends come and go, some good, some not so good! Iím not sure I have much left from then, but I did manage to collect a vast array of items that we can use today. I hope you can join us in digging through your collection of scrapping supplies and complete a layout (one or two page) using some of your older items.

This being the first challenge of the New Year, I thought a celebration page was appropriate!

Hereís my layout:Graduation Party

The requirements for this weeks challenge are:

1. Frame: You can frame a picture, a journaling box or the entire page...I chose to frame the photo.
2, Eyelets: I have a bunch of shaped eyelets I tend to forget about. So I used a couple of star and balloon shaped ones on each page.
3. Die Cut or Punched items. I die cut the balloons and used a border punch for the white scallop top border. The title and diploma are also electronically cut.

Please use this keyword in your completed layout to the gallery so we can see the pages you create: Copy and paste the keyword: STASH15JAN1 to make sure it gets to the right gallery.

Hereís the Gallery: January Stash Busters

If youíre participating in the Scrapbooking Goals, donít forget to use the link: sbc15jan

Talking Here's Mine

Well, I've picked up and put down these photos multiple times over the years because I took so many and "they're busy" photos. I'm not good with busy, LOL. So tonight, I used a sketch that had circles, added a frame, cut outs and eyelets and DONE

I am nearly done with mine. I have a graduation layout almost ready to work on myself (from 2009 - ACK!) I have been looking for a graduation SVG file - I ended up grabbing one from Treasure Box Designs.

Ok here is my pages for the challenge - I had started this some time ago and this was just what I needed to decide on the finishing touches! I even remembered how to use my Crop-A-Dile!

I have a question: If I do a 2 page spread, do I have to have eyelets on both pages? I have wondered that on other challenges too. Thanks

Nope! Just so long as they are on one of the pages, you are good to go!

Here's my page for this stashbusters challenge.
I also used an old scrapbook sketch from the gallery.

Great challenge! Used some very old die cuts (probably about 15 years old) and other goodies.

I'll take pictures in the morning when the light is better and post them. Now I'm onto find another challenge.

No sun today, so light wasn't much better. Cookies for Santa

Here's my page for week 1...I made a booboo & used brads instead of eyelets. Didn't notice it until I went to upload.
