Default What's the secret to putting toppers on gift bags?

I've never done toppers before but have noticed some beautiful gift bags in the gallery that I'd like to try. Can anyone give me tips on how the toppers are put on?

Toppers are pieces of folded cardstock that are slightly wider than the bag you are topping. You can attach the bag to the topper with staples (then cover the staples with another piece of cardstock--not a requirement but finishes the piece more nicely. You can also use brads to attach the cs to the bag. HTH

On one set of survival kits that I did for a swap, I punched holes in it and then tied it with a ribbon. Basically, you can use whatever method strikes your fancy!

Thanks, Annette! I appreciate your help. Do you normally do one side or both sides of the bag? I guess this would be a preference thing.

Thanks, RT! It sounds like a GREAT idea. This is all new to me so casing other ideas will be my venue until I get comfortable trying to design my own.

You can also double sided tape to attach the topper. Double sided also allows for easy opening. Good luck and make sure you post so we can all see
