What do you give a new recruit???

Hello all, I will have a new recruit this week and would like to know what you all recommend on what you give her, ie. organizing tips, samples, do you actually sit down with her and tell her exactly what YOU do, or ??? This will be my 3rd recruit, however, my 1st two have been inactive for quite awhile, plus thought I'd pose the question to all of you helpful people. TIA.
