Default Sizzix or Sidekick

I am wanting a die cut machine, but I don't know exactly what I want. I have been looking at the sizzix machine and also the sizzix sidekick. Does anyone have a preference for either of these or should I be looking at some other kind of machine? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I love my Sizzix. It's heavy, but I love the die cuts available and it comes in handy for every occassion I need to use it for (the tea pot was a perfect little pocket for a tea bag on the front of my sister's baby shower tea party invitations!).

The problem with the Sidekick is that it only uses the Sizzlits-- not the original Sizzix dies, which are bigger. So, you're limited to what you can use with it- although the fact that it travels is nice.

I would say, if you will travel a lot with it, get the Sidekick; otherwise, get the original Sizzix machine that you can use all the original dies PLUS the sizzlits (just make sure to get the converter for the Sizzlits).

Have Fun!
