Default this is a site/timezone question

I live in Wisconsin, that is central Standard time.. I have never heard of GMT? what and where is that???? how does CST fit -/+ 1 to 12 hours????

I am soooooo confused.

I think its Greenwich Mean Time. England.

The difference in time zones between England and Wisconsin is 6 hours. They are 6 hours ahead of us, we are 6 hours behind them. GMT is the standard time zone that all other time zones are either ahead or behind.

(Returning to GMT in January for our 3rd trip to the UK)

oops, from Wisconsin its 6 hours different. From California (Pacific time) its 8 hours.

Central time is GMT-6.
We are 6 hours behind them. Its 3:47 in the morning Dec 4 in England right now.
