Red face Site Help Needed

Hi to everyone,

I am fairly new to your site. I have some questions about navigating the site.

Is there anyway to have a thread start with the main topic and then go with the latest answers?

Finding answers to my site navigation questions--is it available somewhere?

I went on vacation for 10 days, I spent 2 hours yesterday trying to find my way around to the most recent posts in the technique area and never found them. They go anywhere from 15 min (listed first) to 3mths ago (listed 2nd) then maybe 30 hours ago (listed next). Sometimes I have had to keep going until I finally find the last page of the posting to find out what the orginial question was.

Thank you

Smile Site Help

I too wish there was an easier way to sort the post. If there is, someone please post.

Welcome to SCS.

Go to your User CP, under Edit Options --> Thread Display options. You can get there either by clicking up top where it says "welcome, (username)" or by using the Quick Display pulldown. Where it says "Thread Display Mode" you can change the option to Threaded, which sounds like what you're looking for. You can also change to have the oldest response first, rather than the newest. That's how I prefer to navigate the forum, because I hate having to go find the last response I viewed and then read from bottom to top.

When searching, when you use the Advanced Search (just click on those words at the bottom of the little Search popup) you can choose the sorting option for the results, and can even specify a time frame.
