Smile sewing on cardstock

i'm a newbie so i may need lotsa help. have always wanted to try sewing on cardstock for cards and such but not sure how its done. already have sewing machine but do i just put bobbin in, thread and go to town? any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have done a bit of sewing on card stock and I used the normal thread top and bottom. Card will blunt needles much more quickly than material if you do a lot of sewing on card, but small amounts is fine. As with any new technique, play around with it first. You may need to adjust the tension or something. Anyway, go for it!

Check out the tutorials on StampTV. Look for the tutorials in the right hand column. Gina does a wonderful job on getting you started!

I will have to check those out. You tube has some good ones too. Have nevered sew on card before though, I do like the look.
