Default Question about posting your blog URL

Hi, I am confused about whether we can post our blog/website URL when we post to the Gallery. I see some people do it but I thought we couldn't draw people to our site. Is it that we can just post it to provide the details and instructions but not say "Come check out my website". Can you clarify what is allowed here. Thanks so much...don't want to break the rules

A lot of people say things like "more details on my blog" and no one seems to mind. Lots of others have a blog link in their signature line, and that's fine. If you're concerned about what any/all of the rules are for Splitcoast, they are all outlined here: Site Posting Rules

Adding a link is fine - but it should be a direct link to the relevant blog post, not a generic link to your home page.

Out of courtesy to site members, it's considered ideal to provide basic information here, and as Sue said, a link saying "More details on my blog" is fine, or if you have close-up and detail shots. That gives people an option if they want to visit your blog, but gives them basic information here about stamps, dies, paper and any technique you've used from your gallery write-up.
I'd just put in a plea that if you say "more details", you actually give them . I can't tell you how many times, as a gallery mod, I have followed a link hoping to find out what SU set someone had used so as to put their upload into the correct gallery, only to find out that they didn't give any more detail. Very frustrating...

Thanks for asking.
