Default Prayer Pocket on Convention Display

Ladies, one of the convention display boards had a really great project on it. It was called "My Prayer Pocket" and was made using Crayon Kids Simply Scrapping kit elements. I took a pic of it because I am going to be involved in a very large girls church mission event next month and this would fit perfectly. I have tried and tried but I just cannot get the concept to come out properly on paper. If anyone has instructions or would know the person who created this lovely project I would really appreciate it.

PEGGY! I know you from HOUscrappers! How are you? You are hosting the card workshop at First Baptist, right?

Glad to see you here! This place is fantastic.

Default Prayer Pocket

Yes I am the sponsor of the Christmas Card Extravaganza at Houstons First Baptist. It was very successful last year and we have tons and tons of room for participants and a place for their children to play. I hope we will get more participants this year. Spread the news!

I am good, its been an incredibly blessed year for me, I have met so many new people and God has really had a hand in my business.

Yes, Splitcoaststampers is the BEST!

Peggy,

Is the picture up someplace that I could look at it? I love trying to figure out things like that and it sounds like something I could adapt for our Missionettes - whom I've just volunteered to do craft projects with.

Default Prayer Pocket

I took a picture of it so if I can get it off the Kodak disk I will send it out. I am also doing this for Missionettes here in Houston. I know they have colors for the different groups, a motto and a bible verse.

Picture the girl with spread arms out of Girlfriends and then "I am a child of God" from All Gods Children, stamped inbetween her upstreched arms and then all those little goodies in the pockets of this thing. I know they will love it (if only I could figure it out!)

Have a great weekend

Default prayer pockets

Please share this idea --- lots of us out here in stamp-land are interested in this kind of thing! I'm having a hard time visualizing the card or how it's used, but I really like the concept.....I'm in a prayer chain with my church and perhaps something like this would work to remind the "prayer warriors" of the people we are currently praying for. It also might be a good project for the Sunday School crowd. I will be watching the site to see if you are able to upload or download the picture you took (computer savvy I'm not!). Please keep us informed on this project, it sounds like a good one!

I will be watching this thread as well. I have been praying about starting a card ministry at my church.

I recently did some volunteer mission work at the Guano Baptist Mission center in Houston. Probably not far from you. That's a great ministry.

Would love to here more about the card ministries that everyone participates in.

Me too! I would love to see this and try my hand at it! I am always looking for new ways to help at church. This sounds like it could even be used in my sons' school classrooms for their prayer & share time! I hope someone out there has the directions! Looks like it would be popular!

Ladies, if any of you want to take a stab at figuring out how to make this cute project, please e-mail me at my home and I can send you a color pdf file. Request that you share the directions with myself and the list - I know someone out there can figure this out for us.

All the best
