Default Poster Board for cards

I don't know if money is an issue for most of you out there but I have made a discovery and am real excited to share it. I found that you can make 14 (4" x 5 1/2") cards out of a regular poster board. 12 of them have the 5 1/2" fold where the last 2 have the crease on the 4" side. These make for very sturdy cards. I thought that was a pretty good deal considering dollar tree sells poster board 3 for $1..

That's a lot of cards! Just make sure you have them weighed before you mail any of them...being that it's a heavier paper they might weigh too much for standard postage.

Default Hmmm

Didn't think about the postage so I weighed one with a card front that had a "road" and the UPS truck on it with pop dots and all and it came up to just over a quarter ounce. So, even though it is not the regular card, it is not too much heavier and I think the only place you will have an issue with sending it would be internationally and that would depend on what embellishments you add.

Thanks for bringing the postage factor up, I probably wouldn't have thought about it until it was too late!

Default poster board for cards

What did you use to cut that big of a sheet? My largest cutter is 12x12.

Default Scissors

I cut the poster board in half with scissors and then it fit into my 12 x 12 cutter with no problem...
