Default the newest newbie on the stampin block

Hi there! I just found out about this site from the message boards over at stampin up! This seems like a fun place to be. I just became a demonstrater in August, and I'm primarily a hobby demonstrater. My 2 girls keep me busy with things like soccer, dance, and scouts so in my "free" time, I love stamping and my passion is scrapbooking! I have been scrapbooking for about 15 years now. I have even gotten a few friends into it. I make scrapbooks for people on the side. The first one I made was for a man I work with, he proposed to his girlfriend in it. Was very sweet!
My husband has finally gotten his way and I am now a HUGE nascar fan. Go Tony Stewart! Keep your opinions to yourself
I love to decorate, then re-decorate my home. Thankfully, for my husband, I haven't repainted anything in our house of 3 yrs.
My oldest daughter who is 9, is a cancer survivor so I am involved with the relay for life. It is truely, very rewarding. She had neuroblastoma when she was 1.5 and thankfully they were able to take out the tumor and she has been healthy ever since
I have been living with celiac disease for four years now, that is a gluten intolerance. Which basically means I cannot have anything with wheat in it, for the rest of my life.
So if there is anyone out there that might share some similarities, feel free to e-mail or post back! I love beeing on the computer!
Well thats it, in a nut shell. Thanks a bunch

Welcome aboard! There is so much to learn from this site, I am in awe. There is also a lot of comraderie too, so watch for that.

A number of members posted when they did the relay for life too. I did, in my hometown in Nova Scotia. Great success/ great cause!

I can't wait for my Hope Is.... set to arrive ( I am not a demo) so could just order it now. Have you seen the great cards so far?

I also have a friend in my soririty with celiac disease, so am learning lost about it. Sounds like you have risen to many challenges!

Again, welcome. So glad you joined us.

Welcome to the site.
One of my best friends has a daughter with celiac disease.
My friends mom had it although back then they really didnt
have a name for it. I know she had to do special things for her
daughter. She made her own bread and pizza for her and could
not make her food around other food. We are close and her daughter would come to my house but she always had a packed lunch, My friend
now is staying away from wheat products as well cause she thinks
she has some problems with it as well. So I can understand somewhat
what you have to go through.

Welcome to SCS ~ the best stamping spot on the web (in my opinion). If you have questions throw them out and they will more than likely be answered, if you want to chit chat at anytime (24/7) there will be someone here, if you want to sing a song - you can even do that. LOL

SCS is a wonderful place to be - so glad that you found your way to our world !!

Yes Sparky! I totally understand where you are coming from. I also watch kids after school and for 2 days out of the week, I take them all to dance. Thank god for minivans! I really feel like I spend half my time in the van. But I'm not complaining. This is what I love and thankfully, my husband is (mostly) supportive with me only working while their in school so that I CAN do these things for them.
It is so funny about the celiac too, it seems like everyone I talk to about it, will know someone who knows someone etc. It really is becoming something that more and more people are being diagnosed with. Now, we have to work on the food container labeling. They have labels for nuts and dairy products, now we need wheat labeling. Hey, I'm only one person haha!
Thanks to all the well wishes and I can't wait to get started on here!

I just found out about this place at the paper expo in SA this past weekend and boy am I glad! This site is wonderful! This is my first post, and hopefully not my last. I haven't gotten brave enough to post any artwork, but give me time to figure it all out.

As member of the ACS staff, I thank you for your support in our Relay's. It is a great event and really supports our cause. If anyone has the opportunity to attend a local Relay for Life...DO IT! You will have the most fun, especially in the wee hours, when your team mates are trying to fall asleep!

I also have a friend who just found out she has celiac disease. She says the toughest part is trying to eat out. She has to ask the wait person a jillion questions to make sure she won't get sick.

TTFN!

Welcome deener, katgirl, r. (did I miss anyone? )!! So glad you found SCS! Now the trick is...can you get away from your computer? I've been at mine more in the last few months (since I found SCS) than I had been in the last few years!!! It's a good thing! (with a little Martha Stewart grin)
