Idea Newbie

Hi All,

New to the site looking for motivation ;) I like crafting with an end goal in mind but frequently find it hard to think creatively for myself after a long day/week/month of computer work and spreadsheets. This is supposed to be my break from computers... yet here I am Tips, tricks and helpful advice are always welcomed.

Hi and welcome. One of the things I do is paint strips of copy paper like washi tape.
To use later on in journals etc. I watch some Youtube video for inspiration and/or browse museums online or google images on florals. Maybe paint a few background papers small sizes A6 and A5 use white cardstock or watercolor papers.

Default Timesaving tips

This is a great idea - to prepare items in advance. I also do something similar. When making cards, etc. I often make/cut out several of the items I will be using on the card, such as in different colors, with various papers, different designer papers, and then put them in with the stamp set, diecuts, embossing folders, etc. so I will have them handy for a quick project/card. You can then mix and match them too. Mary

Welcome to SCS!

This is a great idea to change up your brain from spreadsheets etc.

I might look at the gallery...many sub sections in there besides the main board of posted cards.

You might want to start out doing CAS so you get finished product faster and it acts like a motivation tool. (clean and simple designs) Every week we have the top favs for both regular cards and CAS cards in the gallery posted to the gen thread so that will make it easier for you to find.

See you around!
