I joined in May and never got around to introducing myself, guess I just got caugh up with all the information and ideals on this site. I live in Port Byron IL, just outside of the Quad Cities, A single grandmother of 6. A stamper of about two years. Was introduced to this site by a friend (we are both transplants of the Wichita, Ks. area). I am going to the Auntie amy's convention in Davenport Iowa next weekend. Is anyone else going?
The Auntie Amy's Rubber stamping Convention, I went to the one in DesMoines IA. last year, But Davenport is hosting their first next weekend A the River Center. I can get you 2 Free tickets for Sunday.
I went to a stamping club today and a couple ladies got tickets for both Sat and Sun but can't make it Sunday, I can check with them in the morning to see if the tickets are still available.
Another transplant from Kansas here but to Michigan for me. I lived near Lawrence growing up.
It's easy to get caught in this site, there is so many nice people here and so much to learn. I hope you continue to enjoy it.
My SIL goes to the Anutie Amy conventions here in Michgian and she loves it. She brings me some great finds.

Hey, I live south of Iowa City and am interested in getting together with groups for stamping or scrapbooking. Is there a website to gather information on where we can go? I'd love to be included in any fun "adventures"!! I have not heard of Auntie conventions. I am not a demo, just an addicted stamper and scrapper! Can we keep in touch? Thanks.

Patty, I am regret to say that I will need to pass on sunday. You are very kind, but we have a special speaker at church on sunday. (and I want to be both places!)
but, we can keep in touch and maybe we can play sometime with some other peoples. That would be fun!

Be sure to be on the lookout for Yvonne Albritton Designs. She had a booth here at a convention in Texas last week and her stuff is fabulous! She sells unmounted stamps which have already been neatly trimmed. She also sells the acrylic blocks and mounting materials. I had my doubts, but they are wonderful.
I got about 30 stamps and they all fit in 3 CD cases. Clean up and storage is a breeze!

Sorry also that yvonne won't be at this convention. Thanks for her webb site. I will check it out. I went to mostly unmounted on CD cases also, Except for my stampin Up stamp set which I keep on their own blocks. Thanks for the information.

We are about an hour from each other, mabye a little more. I live next to the Iowa border, near the Mississippi River. Just off I 80.
