Default New from Spring, TX - Question card sizes

Are there any basic card sizes? I've made several that are 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. I think there maybe a size that is just a bit larger but not quite sure what it is.

Thanks for your help. Love this site.

I don't know if this helps but I use an A5 piece of card folded in half for my cards. Most card stock comes in A4 sheets so one A4 piece, cut in half, makes two cards.

Hey neighbor - I'm in Katy!

The precut ones that I've bought are 5 x 6.5 and 4.25 x 5.5. Are you trying to make them the right size for standard envelopes?

Howdy, vfenney! Sugar Land here. Mostly I make cards that are 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 (one side is folded in half) from either 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 or 4 1/4 x 11. Other popular sizes are 4x4 and 5x5. It's really all about personal preference. I buy most of my card stock in 8 1/2 x 11 so I just cut once then fold. Sometimes I make 4 pieces of the 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 for just "fronts".
