New to SCS, what a great find!

Hi all, I'm getting back into stamping after a several year hiatus (trying to get kids through high school activities, into college, and now both are getting married (one in April, one in July)...I am lucky that I have several LSS that have great classes, but I love looking at things others have done....

I was a still photographer after graduating from college for many years and that led me to a career in law enforcement...after the girls came along I left law enforcement and was lucky enough to be an academic advisor at a great college. In Oct of 2009, my husband who was a 27 year veteran of the police department was shot while backing up two of his guys on a domestic call and he died 5 days later. I am back doing a lot of photography and that has gotten my creative juices flowing...thanks to all who share here...beth in nc

My goodness Beth. What a story. I'm sorry about your husband.

I'm glad you found SCS.. I'm relatively new here too but have found it to be very friendly and very helpful...and a lot of fun. Careful though...you'll end up letting the washing machine run a full cycle with no laundry in it if you're not careful.

Hi Beth. I'm in SW NC during the summer (Cashiers) and love those mountains. Sorry your husband was killed in the line of duty but am so glad you've picked up your creativeness and found SCS. It's very addictive :>) With your photography skills, no doubt your cards are creations of art. I can hardly wait to see what you post in your gallery.
