Post New member.....from UK

Hello,Good morning to you all,
My name is Michelle, but only my mother calls me that so I am known as
Shell. I am married to Neil and we have 3 lovely children David 9 and 1
year old twins George and Charlie.
I am trying so hard to develop some natural artistic ability but it
just doesnt seem to happen. If I make a card it is usually from using a
HOTP book or following instructions from a magazine. I envy anyone who
can make cards up in their own head.
I live in the UK and need all the help I can get.

I look forward to chatting and swapping etc with you all soon.

All help greatly appreciated.

Love

Shell

Default Welcome

Shell,
Welcome. I am new to Splitcoast myself but so far so good. You will love it. When I first started I was like you. I could only do by copying. Then I gradually started to tweak what I saw and now after a couple years I can come up with my own. The galleries here are great and so many great ideas to get inspiration from. Enjoy!!

With SCS you don't NEED any artistic ability! The galleries are so full of great ideas that you can just copy them!!!
I'm from the UK, too, and totally hooked on this site!

I agree. I find myself using the gallery for inspiration, and can take off from there, changing to meet my style - or to make use of the stamps I actually own. Welcome!

Hi Shell! Welcome to SCS!

I've had the same experience as Sharon...I started out casing everything and then started making changes and now I'm just starting to create on my own. Don't rush your natural ability, it will rise to the top before you know it.
