I joined SCS a few days ago an uploaded about 10 cards. I have been doing digital graphic design of greeting cards via PowerPoint. I needed an intellectually stimulating activity since I just retired from NASA on 12/31/2015. My wife and I hope to consider some type of hands on crafting someday. Meanwhile doing digital graphics design keeps me from following her my around like a puppy dog. I do help with the chores.

I have been participating several paper craft groups (PP, PPA, GDP, etc.) and will continue with some of them.

Are there any digital graphic design groups in SCS? I wonder how well PicMonkey works. Does anybody use any graphic design application to design cards as the final product or as a precursor to hand on crafting procject?

Thank you
Brent

Hi Brent and welcome from New Zealand! Wow - NASA! So cool to have worked for them! I hope you find what you need here, we are a friendly lot and will help any way we can.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Are there any graphic designers in SCS? At least for some of their cards?

Hi Brent & welcome!

We do have a lot of people who begin with digital images, both for cards and for scrapbook pages. Here's a search for the keyword digi: Digi - Homemade Cards, Rubber Stamp Art, & Paper Crafts - Splitcoaststampers.com

And here's a digital scrapbooking gallery: Stampin Up! Gallery: Digital Scrapping - Page 1 - Cards & More - Splitcoaststampers

PicMonkey is good and so is Canva.

Welcome - let me know if I can help you with anything!

Oh, wow, Brent, you've just retired from NASA, eh? That's amazing, and what fun you must have had! Retirement is an adjustment for both you and your wife (my hubby retired nearly six years ago, and it was an adjustment for me - hehe!). But you sound like you have a plan, and I'm so glad Lydia gave you some help. Looking forward to seeing more of your work! Hugs!

Lydia:
Thanks for your support. I tried the first link. I left a comment with a few folks and they said there cards were not digital. The second link is on Digital Scrap-boarding. Please view my gallery today. I have about 20 entries now.

I am looking for primarily looking for digital greeting card. We have some interest in yard flags and quilt squares.
Thanks.

Hi Brent and welcome to SCS and congratulations on your retirement. I really enjoyed the cards you've uploaded in your gallery. You're creating some lovely cards with your computer. A few members have computer generated images and refer to "vector" in their posts. I did a gallery search using vector . Hope this helps. Looking forward to seeing more of your creations.

Carla: Would vector be Keyword or a Photo Description in the post?

Thanks.

Ideally keyword, because if you click a keyword on a gallery entry it takes you to all entries with that keyword

Thanks for info. Vector will be first keyword.
