I'm a new member living in southern Idaho (originally from Spokane Wa). I'm a SU! demo, mother of 2, (3 counting my husband), volunteer cheer coach, and volunteer managing the Airman's Attic at Mountain Home Air Force Base. (my hubby is active duty).
This site so full ideas ... I now have it as my homepage!!
I was also wondering if there are ANY other parents out there who has a child with Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome? (a.k.a. abdominal migraines). My 11 year old daughter suffers from this.

Happy Stamping!! - kim

Welcome from PA! I have never heard of the disease your daughter has. It sounds awful! I'm sure you will find lots of good ideas and support at this site.

Thanks for the welcomes!! Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome (CVS) is terrible to have. It's basically a migraine that affects your stomache rather than your head. You have intense nasuea then vomiting. Her vomiting can occur as frequent as every 5 minutes for hours. She dehydrates very quickly and has been on IV fluids 10+ times in just 3 years. She's on Topamax to try and prevent the migraines. It's worked for 7 months till a couple of weeks ago. She was hospitalized for 3 nights.
It's very hard as a mother to see your child go through this ... so, that's why I'd like to find another person dealing with this.
Thank you all!! -kim

Welcome to SCS.

I hope you find someone familiar with what your daughter has, it does sound very difficult to deal with for the both of you. If you do not though, eveyone will listen and support you!
