The good thing is that I never have to feel guilty about buying anything. Golfing has proven to be way more expensive than stamping in our house!

He also makes a helluva martini! We should swap recipes sometime.

Ah Martinis! The third love of my life after Murphy and Stamping. I have lately that using fruit juices in my drinks.. makes things easier the next day.

So far I love to make a caramel apple martini which is really so simple.. some green apple sourpuss, caramel schnapps, and some apple juice. It makes for a sweet, casual martini. The old fashioned ones.. are too strong for my taste buds!

I am trying to come up with a cranberry one... that I like.

Default Clown Fish

Hi Matty,

I was in the pet store last week buying stuff for my guinea pig's and there was a lady in there talking about her tropical fish - she said she had a clownfish that lived for 12 years - she said she felt like her child had died when her clownfish passed.

Hopefully yours will live to a ripe old age with you

I'll have to try your Caramel Apple Martini.

Here are two of my specialties. Try them and let me know what you think:

Black Raspberry Martini
1 1/4 oz Raspberry Stoli
3/4 oz Chambord Black Raspberry
3/4 oz Cranberry Juice

Lavender Martini
2 shots Absolut Madarin
2 shots Parfait Amour
4 shots Cranberry juice
Rim frozen martini glass with lavendar sugar (found in cake decorating places)

If you can't find Parfait Amour, I have substituted Grape Pucker.

Cheers!

I suppose a python card would work okay for a birthday cards.. or a just because type think. I have a chameleon stamp that I adore.. and use it for when I met new people at work to welcoming them in.

A martini thread would be great. When I feeling up to snuff I will definately try out the above recipes. They sound yummy and delicious.

Hi matty - I am another male stamper and I just wanted to let you know you were not alone! I am going to be 40 in July and have been stamping for about 6 years. I even worked part time in a stamp store for about 4 years before becoming a demonstrator.

You will love this site not only because of the great cards posted but because of the wonderful people!

Hopefully more guys will come out of the woodwork to welcome you.

Glad you made yourself known!

Yes!!! I'd love to see what he did for you in PP. Then maybe I can give my DH a hard time for only sending me 2 store bought cards while he was over there! Okay, probably wouldn't do, to afraid that I won't get future cards. LOL!

Emily,

Considering where he was and what he was doing I think SU just better overlook this one. Tell him thanks and I'm glad he's home now. Can't wait to see the cards.

Matty,

I think it will be great to see a guy's slant on some of the stamp sets, can't wait to see them.

My son loves the cards I make and he has helped me when I make a large amount for his office etc. He says he is not good at it but it is just that he is a perfectionist.

I am going to show him this thread next time he is here, maybe you will have your gallery by then.

I love the earth tones too they just fit me best.

Welcome to Matty, David and Palooka3...
I'm still in shock of having 3 men in one thread!
You'll love this site...even when all the ladies pick and tease you all!
We only do it in good fun. We all wish that our DH's would stamp...heck, I'd like it for my DH to look at my stuff once in awhile! (Not THAT stuff!)
Good luck and can't wait to see all of your cards!
