New from Canada's Arctic (Inuvik, NWT, to be precise!)
Hey, all! I don't know if anyone else here is from my neck of the woods, whether actually from Inuvik or just Canada's Arc, but, well, here I am! I'm not originally from the Arctic; rather, from the Fraser Valley in beautiful B. C.. My sister-in-law, who's a member here as well, told me about this site, & so I decided to join. I'm looking forward to meeting other stampers from all over the place & to get some great ideas.
I love crafts & have done them for years, although since I've come up here, almost two years ago, I put all of it aside except for the occassional cross stitch session. I still like that, but I finally decided that there was no point in putting things off that I love to do. The nights are long here in the winter (although not 24 hours as many think, but it does feel like that when it's really dreary!) & need something besides TV to fill the hours outside work & church & a few other things.
Since my sis-in-law got to be a Stampin' Up demonstrator, I've gotten back into stamping, or will when my first order arrives. I'm waiting expectantly & excitedly for it!
Well, that's it for now! Happy stamping & I look forward to getting to know some of you through this site.

Hi
Scrappy12, thanks! I'm from B. C. originally, & my family's still in Chilliwack, which is where I'll move when I'm done here.

You got my attention with the word Arctic! Our Vacation Bible School theme is "Arctic Edge: Where Adventure Meets Courage" I am the Director for our church so my radar goes up when I see the word Arctic. lol
Anyway, welcome! This is the best stamp site on the web in my opinion. There are lots of fun things and ideas.

Welcome to SCS. I'll send you some Southwest Florida sunshine if you think it would help. I believe it's 78 degrees on our lanai right now. Okay, don't throw anything at me; just enjoy your new toys when they come. :>)

Thanks :)
Thanks to all who've welcomed me here so far. I really appreciate it!
Cricketts, if you'd like to know anything about the Arctic or want any props from here or what have you for your VBS, please don't hesitate to ask. I'd love to help if I can!
Buttons2, thanks for the offer of Florida sunshine. We have lots today, thankfully, but a little more warmth wouldn't be too bad! It's actually not bad outside today, especially for this time of the year, but I am a little tired of snow & cold. Well, it's only -10 Celcius right now, which, from I understand, isn't too different from the Fehrenheit amount. I've never been good at converting the two.
Well, I'm happy to be here & look forward to getting to know people here.

No flippin' way!!!! My family is from Chilliwack too!! My two brothers still live there!!!! We lived on Chilliwack Mountain--my 1 bro is on Lickman and my other lives over by the barracks!!
I'm in Calgary now--we just went back to Chilliwack this past summer for my bro's wedding (one that lives by the barracks). It's changed a lot!!! More development--especially on the mountains in Abby! And don't even get me started on the changes in Langley which is where I grew up!
Welcome to SCS!! Be careful, it's super addictive!!! Too funny to meet someone on here who knows where Chilliwack is..........

Welcome for another BCer but this one was transplanted from Cornwall in England! There are so many similarities with these smaller cities/towns to my part of the UK (peoplewise I mean!) but the countryside is so much more vast. I love it though! I'm glad I live to the south on this side of Canada and not where you get soooo much snow!!! Enjoy this site!

Welcome to SCS! -10 C is about 14 F. I am in Canada, but barely. I used to live a lot further north in BC, but since I moved to Regina I feel like I live at the equator with respect to the sunlight hours and transitions here. Let us know when you get your stampin stuff!! I am excited for you.

Thanks to everyone for all the welcomes!
Surrey! Yay! I have an aunt & uncle who live in Newton & family all over the Fraser Valley, especially Chilliwack. Whoohoo!
I lived in Caronport for four years, & so I know about Regina. Love the prairies!
Well, I did get my first stamp stuff a while back, & then my second set, & then my third this past Monday, which was a long awaited & much deserved break from the move. Anyway, I'm also an SU demo now, & so I'm waiting for that kit to arrive. It's so cool! Once I'm settled in after this weekend I'll be able to stamp a lot more.

Welcome from Erie, Pennsylvania. Although Erie is famous for the sunsets, we don't actually get a whole lot of sun during the year, so I know dreary. But hooray for stamping! I love this site, too, so have fun and I'm looking forward to seeing all of your new creations!
