Default New but not really

Hi all!
Nice to find a useable forum!
I used to stamp and scrapbook years ago and life kinda got in the way. I haven't scrapped a page since 2006 and finally have been able to clean out my room and pick it up again! I love everything paper and stamps and have missed this creative outlet so much. I have lots of perfectly good inventory but am saddened because scrap booking seems to have been declining in my absence! Many sites I used to go to are defunct. Stores shut down, etc. Is this really that much of a declining "hobby"? I couldn't wait to get back into it and am shocked at how much less seems to be out there. Can anyone tell me your favorite sites? Favorite paper brands? Etc? I found a Stampin Up demonstrator in my area as the ones I used all stopped. I feel like I have so much to relearn! And apparently I'm gonna need a Cricut or a Silouette! Can anyone out there relate? I feel a little lost but have scrapped THREE pages this week! Yay!

Hello and welcome to SCS! Glad you're finding time get back into paper crafting. Congratulations on getting three pages done. That's a big accomplishment.

Online stores have had a huge impact on brick and mortar stores. There are few small stores left and the larger stores carry less inventory. My favorite places to go are local thrift stores and Tuesday Morning. I haven't purchased a Cricut or Silhouette. I've got quite a few dies and a good pair of scissors for fussy cutting.

You'll get a better response by posting your questions in one of the sub forums, General Stamping Talk, Tool & Product Talk and Techniques. You'll find discussions about many of your questions and can post a questions to get new discussions going. You might enjoy the thread Evolution of stamping discussing the changes in products and techniques over the years. You'll also enjoy the Scrapbooking forum.

Hope you have a lovely weekend and get time to enjoy your craft room.

Welcome!

In the end who cares if others are doing it? If it makes YOU happy, that is what matters. Ie I am still doing very old techniques.

Having said that...there is a scrapbooking group here as mentioned above. Look in the picture gallery. They have their own.

See you around the boards
