Default New from Arlington, VA

Hello! My name is Lameka and not only am I new to the site which I discovered living in California (so I guess that doesn't make me new) but I am new to the Arlington, VA area. My husband is military (AF), my daughter is in the 8th grade. Right now I'm currently not working. However, I am looking for job. Right now I do enjoy the time I have to explore the area and perhaps look for others that enjoy scrapping as much as me. If you are from this area, please send me links or messages on places I can get great deals and maybe even functions. I look forward to hearing from some of you. Thanks!

Lameka

Thanks! nhagen....I'm really enjoying the feedback. When we lived in California and me and my friends would get together and scrapbook, we'd usually have a bottle of wine and then we'd only get one page done. We soon had to change that. So, we'd have the wine after we've completed at least 3 pages. lol I miss those times.

Sounds like it was a lot of fun! What part of California are you from? I grew up in the Bay Area. We moved to VA 10 yrs ago.

Default Cali weather

We lived on the Central Coast part of California in Santa Barbara county. So, we had alot of wineries around and the weather was always great year round. I just bought my first coat for the winter over here in over 6 years!! I am going to miss flip flops year round. I had to buy myself some tennis shoes as well. So, some changing but it's all good.

Default hello

Hello Deb! Yes, I have seen the name Fairfax, but not sure how far it is from me. However, one thing I don't mind doing is EXPLORING and finding my way around.

Nice to meet you!
Meka
