My very first hobby!
Hello! My name is Sarah. I've been married for 10 years to my hubby Mike and we have two girls who are 8 and 4 years old. I'm a Stay-At-Home Mom and I also homeschool our girls.
I've been looking for a creative outlet for quite some time and never found anything that suited me (I can only paint my house and rearrange furniture so many times). My friend introduced me to Stampin' Up! and I fell in love! It's something I can do to be creative and I can also share that creativity with my family and friends by giving them homemade cards. I also hope to soon start scrapbooking.
Anyway, I am a beginner and just bought my first SU! sets, Loads of Love and Loads of Love Accessories. I have very few supplies, but just enough to create some neat cards. I can't wait to see all the ideas here and get hints and tips for stamping.
Thanks for reading!

Hi Sarah! I have 2 girls ages 11 (almost 12) and 10 and a son 18. I homeschool also!
I love scrapbooking. I got started almost 8 years ago, but am still quite behind. I don't really think of it as being behind, though. I just do what I can when I can. I got started with Stampin' Up! as a result of my scrapbooking and signed up to become a demonstrator when I went to my first SU workshop. I have so much fun and have met a ton of great people doing this.
I just got back from a 12-hour girls' day/birthday/scrapbook party with 7 friends. I drank a wee bit too much coffee, so I'm playing on here instead of sleeping!
Welcome. You'll find LOTS of inspiration here!

watch for coupons in newspapers
To build up your supplies for stamping and scrapbooking, though this is not stampin up; check your craft stores to find out who takes competitors coupons, to buy extra supplies, decorated aper packs, anything to use
with your stampin up stamps, I'm signed up to Joanne fabrics, not sure if that is in California; and every two weeks they have 40% off coupon to use toward those more expensive supplies. Some other retail also take these
coupons, and I would ask. Micheals has a 40% off coupon maybe once a month, but have to watch the Sunday papers to know when, I didn't see one for this week. Have fun collecting and becoming creative. Stampin up also has color combo cardstock packs to become familiar with their colors. I love
seeing the combination of colors on this site, have fun. I've been
scrapping and stamping for 10 years in MN. Carolyn

Thank you all for the warm welcome!! I've created 4 cards already with the stamp sets I have. I've noticed that a quite a few members say no uploads on Sunday....why is that? I will upload what I have tomorrow and I'd love to hear opinions on them.
CajunStamper: I'm glad to meet another homeschooler! I homeschooled my 8 year old for 1st and 2nd grades and when we moved, I decided to put her back into school for 3rd grade. Well, I just found that it doesn't matter where I put her in L.A. County, I'm not going to like the school, so out she came! She'll start 4th grade as a homeschooler again. My youngest will start homeschooling as a Kindergartener. I hope I can handle two kids!! Wish me luck!
