Talking My name is Chris and I'm a rubber stamp collector

Just recently, I've discovered Stampin Up! So far, I've been going crazy buying retired sets from SU demos and ebay. I have no idea what has gotten into me, it's like I'm making up for lost time or something.

Then, there are the $1 stamps which are like potato chips (just can't stop at one).

Does anyone else have this problem?

I have exactly the same problem. I have been stamping for a few years. But I have been trying to buy a set once in a while. I could just go crazy and buy, buy, buy.

That was me earlier this year and I ended up signing up as an SU demo so I could get the discount and buy stuff early! Good luck!!!

Welcome, Chris! Yes, I have the same problem. A lot of demos get rid of their retired sets every year, but I just can't bring myself to!

Hi Chris,

You are not alone. I too have been buying retired SU stamps from ebay and from other members of SCS. Now I'm considering becoming a demonstrator not only for the discount but for the opportunity of meeting new people crazy about stamping. The $1 stamps at Michael's are so addicting. I just got back from there and bought the cutest Halloween stamps.

Welcome!
Genny

I can't get rid of my "old" stamps either...is it wrong to feel attached to them?! LOL

Genny, that's why I became a demonstrator...to support my habit and meet others who are just as addicted as me! LOL

It's amazing how many sets/individual stamps you need to create what you want. I have about 80 sets and maybe 75 individual stamps and still run up against roadblocks when I want to create a certain type of card. I also want to buy, buy, buy just for the joy of it and I've had a big run of spending lately and now need to lay low and use what I have!!!!

Oh my! I have only been stamping for less than 1 1/2 years, and I have so much stuff it is unbelievable. I also seem to want what is retired, almost like I feel I was left out for so long! I also bought a Big Shot the beginning of May, and I cannot believe how much I have bought for it too. I also need to take a break from buying for a while...although I have been considering becoming a demo!

I totally feel you guys! I'm pretty new myself and have spent a small fortune in the last few months. I vow no more until the next monthly release... sigh.
