Default Matboard

I am really going to feel stupid i think when i find out the answer to this one but here goes. I see these journals and scrapbooks made out of matboard. Where do you find this and do you have to decorate or does it come in colors??? Need Help with this. I know about picture frame mat board but not something you can cut. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

Debby,
You can get sheets of matboard in craft or frame stores. They come in various weights, colors and textures.

Check out these links for matboard journal instructions:

I buy mine at Hobby Lobby and ask them to cut it lengthwise into 3 strips of 12 " each so that I can fit it in my rotary cutter (they charge me $.50 a cut, so I have them make minimal cuts and the last cut is less than 12"). I like the mat board that is white on one side and vanilla on the other...that way you have both colors and one side is covered anyway so no one would ever know!

Have fun...I have to make 9 (or possibly more) of these this weekend for gifts...the things I get myself into!
