Wink I'm new -- looking for some techniques

Hello all. I'm new to the site as well. A friend suggested I check it out. I have spent some time at the gallery and am amazed at the beautiful work. Is there a place where I can go to get specific directions for different techniques? I was looking at the Feathered Friends cards and found someone who did a marbeling technique. Any suggestions on how I can get instructions? I am fairly new to stamping and enjoy it very much. Thanks in advance for your help! Fran

Well... I've been here since July of last year and I am still learning my way around. There's SO much to see! I do know that at the very top of each page there is a link for "resources".... there are a lot of techniques to see there.... hope this helps!

WELCOME to SCS.... you will love it.... however, I must warn you.... it's SUPER addictive, and you may find you spend more time here than stamping!

Welcome...the resources is a great place to get templates and idea sheets.
My favorite part of the site is the Wednesday tutorials. They are very very cool! I print them out and put them in a binder.

If yo want to learn some new techniques, go to the resources page (look at top right corner), and also check out VSN tomorrow night.

VSN is a great chance to learn techniques you would not normally try. Every 45 minutes a new challenge is posted in the challenge thread. YOu can look at the challenge and decide if you want to try or not. You can upload your card (look on main page) and make sure you use the right code for the challenge in order to be in the running for prizes.

If you're interested, look on the forums page for Splitcoast Challenges, and go down to Virtual Stamp Night. In that forum you will find a shopping list to make sure you have everything you need for the night, and tomorro night at 6:15 MT, the first challenge will be posted (kids' challenge will be at 5:30). PM me if you want more info.

You can also find other techniques in the TLC challenges (also under Splitcoast Challenges)
