Default I need ideas for boys party favor boxes!!!

I am having a Birthday party for my son who is turning 6 on Saturday. We are having a mixed party, boys and girls. I am using the cute purse idea from hsmom71 for the girls favor boxes but I need some ideas for something cute to put the boy's favors in. Does anyone have any ideas??? There are going to be 9 or 10 boys.

Thanks!
Patti

What is the theme of your son's party? This would help in coming up with an idea for the boys' party boxes.......

Default Boy's boxes

The nice thing is that there really is no theme. I am having his party at Caesarland (pizza and play place). I would just feel bad giving the girls the cute purses and handing the boys the plastic bags. I know they only care about what is in it but I guess it is my hangup.

Maybe you could get them each a "bug box". You can find them for around $1.

Default box

That is a good idea!! Although I really wanted to make something. There are a lot of mothers in my sub that I know would be interested in stamping if they saw some of the things that you can do and my house is not set up where I can really have an open house.

Default boys idea

Maybe you could use the egg basket template that is posted under techniques and templates and make it round instead of egg shaped and decorate it like a soccer ball, or basketball etc.

For my son's party I just stamped paper lunch sacks. He is 6 and he helped out since he enjoys stamping, too!

How about a 2-4-6 box?

How about a triangle shaped box (like some do for "cake slice" favors) and then decorate it to look like a slice of pizza? You could use the circles set and make pepperoni and olives quite easily.

You could also use the small kraft gable boxes to make a bug box. I did this at a workshop using the buildabug set and wheel. I cut a rectangular whole in the sides of the box using the kraft blade and added the black mesh by attached with some brads at each corner, then added a name tag and everyone loved it!

For my son, he helped me (he is four.) I got white lunch sacks and took the wheel stamp of that tread mark and just had him roll over the white lunch sacks and then filled them up. All the Mom's went wild and I had several orders of the tread wheel (I can't think of the name of it off the tip of my head right now.) Super cheap, super easy and super cute.

We have so many boy sets that it shouldn't be too hard to figure something out. We have the bug wheel too that my son uses. You can always do bug builders, the race car in the Toy Box set (my son watercolored the race car for the invite, and we used the tread mark with it. It was easy to do the scrapbook page as well.) You can watercolor the construction vehicles or do a spinner on top of a box with the Dino Mite set?
