Default Help for a newbie stamping on new wood!!

I am planning to decorate the risers of my Adirondack home stairs with bears, trees, moose, etc. --north woods style. Is there a partiacular way to do this? Is there a particular type of permanent paint/ink I should use? Should I seal it with what after completion? This is to be a summer time project 2006.....Thanks for your help/advise. jaspott

I am no expert on painting, but I think you can use interior paint as for walls......just be sure to seal it with a clear, non-yellowing sealer when finished. Good luck to you and welcome to SCS!!!
