Smile Hello stampers!

I'm a little timid when starting new things and this is my first post on a forum ANYWHERE so I'm a bit nervous as to whether I'm "doing" this right.

I've been looing around SCS and found some cards made with the stamp set from MFT called Sheltering Tree but MFT tells me it's retired. So, is there an approved way of posting an "in search of" request on here someplace? I'd love to buy this stamp set from someone if they're finished playing with it :>

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Connie in Dust Bowl hot Kansas

Hi Connie and welcome from New Zealand. This forum was also my first ever so I know that nervous feeling but you are doing great! If you go to the top of this page and click on 'forums' at the top right then you will find a whole list of topics. One of them might be a good place to ask about the stamp you want.

Thanks, Stephanie! I'll give it a go. New Zealand!? Wow! It really is a small world!
Thanks again,
Connie

Hi Connie, welcome to Splitcoast!

As Stephanie says, if you look down the list of forum sections you'll see a whole host of them. One is "Buy/Sell/Trade" and there's a subsection there called ISO which stands for "In Search Of". That's the best place to post a wish. You could also check the Buy/Sell listings that's another subsection of Buy/Sell/Trade just in case anybody is already listing it for sale.

Good luck finding it!

Thanks for your help, ladies! I found it and posted my first ISO thread! Now if I can figure out how to add a photo to my profile, I'll upload my mug so you can see with whom you're chatting!

Fingers crossed for you! If you don't get a response and your posting drops down so it falls off the first page of ISO you can reply to your own thread to move it back up and get another chance at it. Most people just post the word "bump" or "btt" (which stands for "bump to top"). You might already know this but thought you might find it helpful if not.
