Smile Hello from England!

Hello to everyone here on this wonderful site!. It is truly engrossing, and I've spent hours visiting the gallery and viewing all the lovely creative stamping and card making

I'm new to the site and to stamping, so new in fact that I've just bought my first three stamps recently (egyptian theme) and am thinking of stamping onto canvas, sorta mixed media, but am a little confused by the amount of stamping products out there and what does what so to speak.

Has anyone here stamped on canvas before? curious to know how it worked out.

This place has really helped cheer me up the past week, as I've been ill for a couple months now with a 'mystery' illness (extreme fatigue, muscle aches/cramps).

I usually do illustration using conventional type materials like acrylics, oils and gouache, but have been known to branch out and use odd stuff in a collage.
That's why stamping appeals tp me becuase it's really different to what I'm used to and has so many possibilites.

Well, it's great to be here and I look forward to learning lots!.

bye for now!
Ingrid.

Welcome, and glad to see a new face!

The only stamping I have done on canvas has been with fabrico ink or a pigment craft pad... not much experience tho.... I usually use acrylic paints and oil sticks on canvas myself.

Hi Ingrid,

I'm sorry to hear about your illness and hope you are feeling better soon. These American ladies will soon have you laughing and feeling better!

Where in England are you? If you need any advice on shops or shopping online just pm me, or put a general ask on the site.

I have made so many boo-boos it is untrue. At least you found this site early. I spent an absolute fortune before I discovered this site. Now I hate the stamps I started with.

There are a few English girls on here, so look out for us!
