Default Getting Serious about Stamping

Hi All-

I am not as creative as I would like. I bought one stamp in college... it was a large rubber mounted stamp of a scarecrow. It was to make something (I can't recall what) for an assignment. It was a disaster. It was ugly, blobby, and looked like a little kid made it. I never thought of coloring it. Pathetic huh?

Almost a decade later I have decided I want to stamp/make cards/ do something crafty! I had my first child 7 months ago and I need a hobby I can enjoy in my 'alone' time. I discovered Stampin' Up! 2-step stamps and I think this may be my chance to fake being creative. So here I go...

Hello from Delaware! I am super excited to learn from you all.

-Fran

Hi Fran and welcome from New Zealand. Sorry to hear about your scarecrow disaster but glad it hasn't put you off! There are all sorts of techniques you can learn here, so have fun.

Hi Fran. I bought my first stamps over fifteen years ago and never made a thing with them coz I was clueless. Then ten years later I saw someone demonstating some cool techniques and I was hooked. I didn't make a lot of great things but I sure had fun playing and experimenting with rubber stamps. Hope you enjoy yourself too!

Welcome, Fran! I love 2-step stamps as well. I try to mount them so I can stamp them using my stamp-a-ma-jig but not have to use the imaging sheet each time. Saves a step!
