Default Consignment fee/"On A Whim" cards

Hi,
Could you tell me the "going" consignment fee for selling my cards in a gift shop? Privately, my cards have been selling for ~ $4.50-$5.00. I pay state tax out of that. I deliver the cards to the shop and go by weekly to restock, etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
By the way, how do you set a cost per card? Is there a magic formula for setting a price? Of course I include the envelope and they are then packaged in a clear cello envelope to keep them clean and unmussed.

Actually, you aren't suppose to be selling the cards in a permanant establishment at all per Stampin Ups Angel policy. Basically, Stampin Up owns the copyright to all their images and you are legally obligated to their Angel Policy. http://www.stampinup.com/web2001/faqs.asp

Here is the quote from the SU web site under FAQ

"Are Stampiní Up! customers or demonstrators allowed to sell their hand-stamped items?

Yes. Stampiní Up!ís angel policy allows both demonstrators and customers to sell cards and other projects made with Stampiní Up! images. Projects must be individually hand stamped and must be marked with a stamp from one of the Stampiní Up! Limited License sets, Handmade with Love, Handmade with Love II or our new personalized Tag It, On a Whim, or Decorative Design stamps (contact your demonstrator for ordering information). Please see our complete angel policy for further details. "

There is a link to the Angel Policy as I can't cut and paste a .pdf file http://www.stampinup.com/web2001/AngelPolicyEnglish.pdf

I think it is great that you get such a good price for your cards. I bet they are beautiful!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, though.

I don't have an answer to your question but your price seems fair.

You didn't say what stamps you were using, so I did want to point out that Stampin' Up! stamps should not be used on cards that you want to sell in a gift shop, since the Angel policy (applicable to both demos and customers) expressly prohibits selling cards in a fixed retail location. The complete Angel policy may be found on the SU! website and I believe in the back of the catalog as well. Here is a link to the SU! website:
