[QUOTE=jackie1;14093219]I guess that Saskatchewan is starting to come out of the woodwork here. It is great to hear from others who live in the forgotten province.

I have done a couple of the image swaps that are Canadian based, and I agree that it is a great way to get images without having to buy alot of stamps. In the swaps section in the Cards area there is a thread that is for Canadians linking to swaps based in Canada so that you don't have to go through all the threads. I am not against US based swaps, but it is nice to not have to figure out how much it is for the return postage.[/QUOT

saskatchewan is definitely not forgotten in my books!! my father's family is there and my father was born there. i'm in nova scotia now but am from brandon orignally.

Hi Gayle, Fergus is a fair drive from Creemore, but welcome! I used to work with a gal called Elly Montgomery, who moved up there. You wouldn't happen to know her?

Hey Adelle! I grew up in that area as well! We lived in the townhouse complex at the very end of Ness Ave and I went to Sturgeon Creek High School. I'm living in Calgary now (have been for the last 15 years) but my Mom and brother are living in Wpg. I've been a member here for about 1 1/2 years and find lots good ideas and information.

Hi Ruth, I'm from Fergus! My demo lives around the corner from me and is wonderful to lend me stamps I do not have and also punches at times. Have you ever been to the Scrapping Turtle in St. Jacobs? I love it there!

Hi, don't kick me - I'm not from Canada, but I use to live in Washington State and my mom use to go to Canada to play Bingo and I was just wondering if that is a big thing in Canada that people do - play Bingo. Just curious...

actually it sounds more like it's a big thing with americans if they are willing to go to another country just to play bingo!!! just kidding you. it is quite big here - in our area alone you can play everynight if you want to - there's a game going on somewhere. i personally do not play the game. have a great day.

Okay just beaming in on this conversation about Bingo and that is just too funny. My grandmother used to play Bingo every Sunday night at the Legion. It is not really a big thing here in Manitoba but those who do go to play have a lot of fun. It is usually held in community clubs now about the city.
But this is coming from a woman who lives in a province that prides itself on being the Slurpee capital of the world.

Hey cat_woman, do you remember the airplane on Portage Ave? I live right behind it in Woodhaven. I went to Silver Heights. Silver Heights and Sturgeon Creek have "joined" and they are now Sturgeon Heights. Oh so original......

Hi from Riverview, New Brunswick. I've been stamping and scrapbooking for almost 5 years now. Curse my aunt and cousin for getting me into it...I had enough hobbies, I thought with polymer clay, cross-stitch, crochet.....now here comes a new addiction! I love it though, and my cousin's a SU demonstrator, so I can abuse her supplies too....

Would really appreciate it and if anyone else has any must-do's while visiting, please share.

Hi Mitzi, I'm sure you've already seen that I am from Fergus. Where are you in Ontario? We have a group of us 'talking' on a thread called Southern Ontario Sugar and Coffee Girls. Here is a link, http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...9#post15387759

Opus Arts Main store is at the Intersection of Hastings and Cambie. As long as you stay on the West side of Cambie, no problem with the area. The Canada line has a station right at Hastings and Cambie, I think.... and if not, Waterfront Station is just a few blocks away. 3 blocks away, at most. They have every type and colour of copic, and will even refill your copic for 2.50 or something like that. Opus Arts is not a stamping store though. Opus Arts also has a store on Granville Island, but the colours of copic are limited.

Opus Arts has an online store as well. Just goggle them! I've had excellent service from them!

Have you tried Country Lane Crafts in Cloverdale? Their hours are a bit limited, but they carry a lot of stamps, including Bella"s, Whipper Snapper, a lot of different brands. A lot of papers, inks, glimmers, cutters, nesties, punches..you name it!

I'm from Burnaby and have been addicted to this site now for 2 years. It is the best, and I never pass up a chance to tell people about it. I didn't know about the craft store in Cloverdale...thanks Debzi. Precious Memories is great and if you sign up for their email you get lots of coupons. i'm sure you know that Clipper St. closed two of their locations and have kept only the one in Langley (sob)

I just uploaded my first cards 2 days ago. I have always been too critical of what I turn out to post it with all the beautiful cards I see in the Gallery.

Lovely gallery! I broke my wrist 4 weeks ago, and I do 1 digit typing for now. Two more weeks and I'll be out of this cast! I'll comment then! Man , this cast is heavy!

Default hey there

Hey there Marg, I am from Toronto, Ontario and love stamping. My husband has built me a craft room in the basement as I have so much equipment. I usually purchase my things from Stampin Up, but occasionally get to Michael's. So yes there are stampers from Canada.
