Default Another newbie from Oklahoma, wanted to introduce myself

Hi my name is Missy and I am from Tulsa, Oklahoma, I am fairly new to stamping but I love it, I am a very active scrapbooker but I have never mixed the two. I have been married for 14 months to a wonderful guy that just got back from Afghanistan fighting with the Oklahoma National Guard. I am very proud of him. I was referred here by some women at a scrapbooking board that I go to. I am looking for new ideas and ways to break out of my rut, everything I make seems to look the same....

Welcome! I suggest putting a timer by your computer - if you limit your time on here, you might not get as addicted as the rest of us!

Congrats on your 1 year anniversary and thanks to both you and your husband for serving our country!!!

Welcome to SCS!!! My dh is from OKC...hehehe...Hey, isn't Tulsa the home of Roy D. Mercer? I love that guy! I think I have all his cd's. Heard him one day while on training and fell in love. Nothing like putting him in and listening and laughing away the blues! "So, just how big a boy are you?"

Sorry, blood - caffine ratio hasn't been hit yet. lol Welcome!

Welcome to SCS!!! You've come to the right place for ideas and inspiration. You'll get plenty of both, but this site should come with a warning! It's so addictive. It has seriously cut into my stamping time since I found it just amonth ago.
Btw, A big THANK YOU to both you and your husband for your service to our country. I appreciate your sacrifice so we can enjoy our freedom!
Enjoy SCS and Happy Stamping!

Welcome Missy,
I am also another scrapbooker from Oklahoma. I didn't "mix" my stuff with stamping either, but I do now! Careful, this is addicting! Post, enjoy, learn and have fun.

Welcome Aboard, Missy! I live about 45 miles from Tulsa, so we're practically neighbors! My stepson is also in the National Guard in Tulsa, but has since been reassigned to Ft. Sill. He leaves on the 27th for Iraq. I'm glad your hubby has made it home.

If you ever need anything give me a holler! (That sounded pretty hick, huh?)

thank you all for the warm welcome, and for thanking my husband for his service...I am happy to see so many people from Oklahoma. Thanks for the warnings also I can easily see this becoming an addiction...for the one that asked about Roy D Mercer yes he is from here, funny guy, he cracks me up too and my moms name is Sharon Gayle also so it is even funnier.

Welcome from another newbie! I was the only kid born to my parents in California. All my siblings were born in Oklahoma, as was my mom. I still feel attached to Oklahoma, even tho I wasn't born there. At my sister's funeral the minister said, "You can take the girl out of Oklahoma, but you can't take the Oklahoma out of the girl." Very true. Roots go deep, even for one not physically born there.

You'll love this place! Have fun and don't forget to get up once in a while and go eat, as time will fly when you're online at SCS!

Welcome, Missy! We're so glad you found us!!
I'm from Oklahoma too! Our children were born there, but DH's job brought us here.
Smiles to all!
