Smile Anita

Hello!
My name is Anita and I live in Queensland, Australia. I was born in Mexico, though. I am new to card making. Last year I never thought I'd be doing this and now feel I want to buy all the card making stuff there is. Impossible! but I have collected a fair few things, including a big shot, a number of stampin up punches and stamps, and cardstock from Papertrey Ink. I don't know where to start when I want to make a card, but once I get going it gets pretty exciting and relaxing. I call it my therapy. I don't enjoy the mess that goes with it, so I try to put away things as soon as I can. It's worth it when you see the finished product. I love the cards I make, usually and don't want to part with them, so now I'd like to make 2 the same each time. I enjoy the creativity part of it. Hope I can learn a lot from all of you experienced stampers.

I just received my first order from Papertrey Ink and I love the dies, except I need to learn how to coordinate the set of stamps that I bought to go with one tiny die called "flower fusion". I think I need to make a template with the "hole" from a cut out, place a black dot on one of the "petals" and do the same with the stamp. Then when I cut out a shape, I can compare it with the template so I can stamp on it accurately. I don't know if this makes sense. I haven't tried it yet.

All for now.
Anita

Thanks!
I tried uploading 3 cards but I can't find them. It's ok. My cards are plain and simple, as I haven't really learned how to watercolour yet... I'm watching a few videos to help me get started. I don't own copic markers, only SU! ones and not all the colours yet... I see there is a LOT to learn. Love the gallery!

Fan Club members get instant uploads, but if you're not in the fan club, your images have to be approved by our gallery moderators - that usually takes about half an hour - depends how busy the gallery is

I have a link to a video on uploading in my signature that will help you get everything in the right place.

Thanks for that Lydia, I will check the video out. We are going away for the rest of this week and I should be packing, but look forward to a lot of learning in the coming months. One thing I'm curious about is, is it easy to download "stamps", those ones that you pay, say $3.00 and you have them forever. I don't know what printer you need to have to print them or anything, so it will take time and research.
Anita
PS I just used a little "have a wonderful day!" stamp for the first time from the little set that I bought from PTI (flower fusion) and I love it!
till next time,
Anita

Hi Anita and welcome to the forum from England. Paper Crafting is definitely addictive and we all have stash that is for stroking only!

Hi Anita! Welcome to SCS!

What I do to make the placing of my stamp perfectly on the die cut shape is using Stamp-a-majig. Try it and you'll never look back
