Hi!,
I've been making cards, stamping, scrapbooking for years. I love it! I only wish I had more time to do it. I've been a S.up demonstrator for a few years but am more of a "hobbyist" at this time. Have fun with it!

God Bless,
Milo

Hi! I've been card making for a few years (been "off" for a while because I had a baby, LOL) and just signed up to be an SU demonstrator. I haven't even received my kit yet, it's supposed to get here on the 8th. Cardmaking is a blast, and the people on this site are very nice and supportive (which can also be called "enabling", too!), I hope you enjoy it.

Woah!!!! Go YOu!! that is great. I was an SU demonstrator about 12 years ago. I did it for over two years until I realized I was spending more money than I was making. So I stopped. But I still have all my catologues and stamps. I am still using inks and pens that I bought more than 10 years ago. Some I've re-inked. but most are still good. I am just getting to know the digi stamping world.

I have a question regarding finalizing a account on here. I have a new demonstrator who is trying to finalize and has signed up twice I am not sure if we have screwed up some how. Not sure if you can completely delete her out and let us retry again. Please send me a message of what to do so I can help her out and I will give you her name at that time. I was not sure who to send this to so I thought I would start here.

Thank you
Nikki

One place you can start is the demo website. There are lots of ideas there under Show & Tell at the top, plus Training - Workshop Wizard.

You can also join the demo side of the forums here. Click "Join a Group" on the left, then choose SU Demonstrators. You'll be asked to verify that you are a demo.

Welcome aboard!

I am not a demonstrator although I was invited to be one by my demonstrator, but I just retired from teaching quilting and I don't want another job. My love of stamping started with my stamping and stenciling on the fabric I dye and paint. A friend invited me to a SU Party and I was hooked. I started making cards too, so I combine my love of fabric, thread, and stamping. It is the best of all worlds. I am always looking for techniques that I can use on both fabric and paper and have discovered quite a few. I found this group when I was watching some videos on You Tube about the Creatopia which I use all the time. I also just bought a Wishblade. I own 4 sewing machines also, one of which is a 1952 Singer Upholstery machine that can sew through 6 layers of leather like butter. I make one of a kind purses (which I do use stamps on) and I am a Contemporary Quilter (which means I use anything and everything in my quilts, including used dryer sheets that I paint, and also what is called "paper fabric".) I sell my hand-dyed fabric (both cotton and silk), thread, stencils, videos, and all kinds of ephemera which can be used on fabric or paper. I don't have a website because I get enough business from my friends. I don't want to spend so much time selling that I don't have time to quilt, dye, paint or do cards. I have 2 printers, including a wide one that use dye ink so I can print on fabric, but they also work great on paper. I am old enough to do just what I want to do and my husband has told me I don't ever need to have a job again, so I am sort of retired, although I do some speaking and demonstrations on threadplay. I'll post some of my cards and maybe some of my fabric work soon. I have to go now to get some fabric I just dyed out of the washer.

Please forgive me that I haven't gone through all 47 pages of this to get an answer.
I am trying to sign up for the demonstrator website, but I am having a problem.

I'm not what I am supposed to see at each stage of the process. Clicking on *print screen* didn't appear to do anything, and neither did pressing *Ctrl V*.

Could this be because I don't have version 8 of Internet Explorer. I remember reading that SU can't use that any more.

I guess I'm not meant to get into the Demo Forums.

Hi, I am a SU demonstrator and have been for nearly a year. Now I have my groove going I plan on start teaching classes as I have really just been treating it as a hobby, so joining SCS was more about getting some inspiration as I live on an island and can be quite isolated - thank god for the internet LOL.

Hi!! I'm new to SCS website--not an SU demonstrator but an SU purchaser. Friends had suggested I check this site out and it is completely addictive!! Love to make cards...working on my fourth and fifth wedding. Love to design rather than follow a pattern (I know...I know...sketches are much quicker!) Really looking forward to gaining some new insights on what to do with supplies I already have and be on the lookout for new stuff too!

Talking Hallo from Germany.

I've lived in Germany for over 20years. And have been crafting for even longer. Found SCS awhile back. And love all the creative input. Finally today I took the leap and joined up. I'm a newbie SU demonstrator. I first found out about Stampin' Up just over 14 months ago. Have met some really great people and became an SU demo here in Germany at the end of Jan.

Happy crafting
Linda

Hi, I am new to Splitcoaster, and I am a Stampin Up demonstrator. I started stamping shortly after my mom past away in October 2008.

The funny thing is that I didn't really like the idea of sitting down and creating scrapbook pages at first. Prior to being stationed at Minot AFB, ND, I had a girlfriend that would invite me to cardmaking/scrapbooking parties and I would tell her that she was out of her mind. I didn't think I could get involved in another craft, because I had already had my share of beading and crocheting.

After my mom past away, I was trying to create a scrapbook album with all the wonderful memories my mom left me, because I wanted my kids to see and know the beautiful woman I loved so dearly. Her death was hard on me, but what I found even more difficult was trying to create a page with paper. I was clueless without a doubt, and my girlfriend was now so far away. So, as I was researching for scrapbooking books at the library on base I stumbled across a Stampin Up flyer.

It was a match made in heaven, because that flyer connected me to LeeAnn Greff, a Stampin Up Demonstrator. I went to one of her classes and I fell in love, and I mean in love! I came home telling my husband about the new craft that I had learned, and his first question was how much did you spend?!!!! Hahahaha, I told him nothing, but I want to sign up and become a demonstrator. He thought it was it was funny, and told me how much I resembled his mother, who had past away shortly before we met. My mother-in-law, whom I never got to meet was a Big Time Crafter, and in fact she is truly known for her craft here in Rock Springs.

Anyway, neatless to say, I signed up, but it wasn't easy at first. I didn't realize that my life, my job, and family took alot of my time and barely had time for my new found love. After moving from Minot, and getting into a job that had me working extremely long hours, I just couldn't sit down to even work on those pages for my mom. So, after alot of talking my husband thought it was best if we moved to a place where I wasn't as busy and a place that I could find relaxation.

We moved to Puerto Rico last August, and after paying a relocation company to move all our things to Puerto Rico we realized that we were scammed. I thought that my time in Puerto Rico, I could actually sit down and stamp, but as it turned out we never got our belongings shipped to Puerto Rico. So, after months of not seeing our things we decided to come back to the states, and here I am now in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

Although our belongings are in our possession yet, I am totally hopeful. I know have the time, the space, and the family support to make my Stampin Up business a success.

I am totally grateful for the patient, thoughtful, and extremely helpful upline, LeeAnn Greff. She has been great and had it not been for her, I would not be a demonstrator for a great company such as Stampin Up.

Hi Kendra,

At the top left side bar there is a link to join a group. Click on that and then scroll down until you find the SU Demonstrator group. Click to join, tell them you are a Stampin' Up demonstrator. You will have to verify that you are a demonstrator so wait for an email and in that email it will instruct you how to proud you are a SU demonstrator. From there you will be able to see everything that the demonstrators can see.
Good luck!!

Susie

Hi, Kendra

I know exactly how you feel! I signed up with SU in September, so I'm still getting my feet wet, too. However, it's not as scary as you think, I found that out rather quickly.

You might also check out the SU website, you can often find hints and suggestions there. They have a section just for new demonstrators. That group will help you lift your spirits, and not feel quite so alone.

Join here, they do have some fabulous people, but also check out the "Resources". All kinds of ideas on it, with instructions. It can help broaden your knowledge and ideas. If I were you, I would sign up for the Weely Inkling, as well. They send out an email every Wednesday with ideas, questions, answers and all sorts of info. Also they have a new idea or technique every week. I print these out and keep them in a file. I have so many now that I've started numbering them, and have also created an alphabetical listing of them, with the number where I can find them. It's been a great help looking them up again!

If you would like to get in touch privately, just send me a private message (by clicking on my name, I think) and I'll send you my email address.

Good luck! I know you will do very well!

Hi! I am new to the site and just wanted to know if I needed to do anything to get to the groups. Looking for ideas and swap info!
Thanks,
