Default Acronyms....

Hello, I'm new to SCS and fairly new to SU, signing on as a Demo this week. Sometimes I find it easier to actually type out the whole word..(but my boss @ work is forever on my case {not CASE} to condense my notes; (work as a Vet Tech)~ Anyway, I came across an acronym last night which I for the life of me, cannot figure out; What does NVR on embellishments mean??
Thanks for the great website and thanks for any input!
Bonnie

OK, I looked and looked but couldn't find it... what does "DTP" stand for? I saw a great card in the Fan Club Gallery for this month. She says that she embossed her card and then used another stamp pad to DTP....?

DTP is direct to paper which means the ink was applied to the carstock right from the ink pad.

This thread is such fun, makes me feel smart now that I know a few of these acronyms - but was I ever lost when I first found this sight.
Took me the longest time to figure out DH wasn't some dumb guy that lived in the house with these ladies!

I have created some of my own, like this one:

WH => Wonderful Husband

This kind of lanuage is used with my online friends, via some of my various e-mail groups that I belong to. I'm around this stuff, but I still need to look things up, or ask someone something.

I think it means "No Vendor Restrictions" but I might be wrong. All I know is that you can use whatever you want. HTH

Thank you! Now I just need to know what stamp a stack is! Is it a product or does it mean to make a "bunch" of the same card at one time?
TIA!!!

Stamp a stack is a class i do. You stamp 20 cards for $20.00. You stamp 5 different designs 4 of each. You have 5 different stations they rotate to. Hope that makes sense.

I cut and paste this from above:
Bump just means sending the thread back to the top of the forum. Everytime a comment is posted it goes back to the top. Also if you see BTT it means the same thing - Back to top or Bump to top

SABLE - Stash Accrual Beyond Life Expectency

I ususally hear/see that in reference to cross stitching but sure could work for stamping stuff too, especially ephemera.

I must say, I feel more in the loop now than I did a couple years ago when I was on another BB. How pathetic is this?? I thought LOL meant ...lots of luck.

TFS, TTFN, HTH....all very useful!
