Sometimes it is just so difficult to cut into a beautiful piece of cardstock. What if you might need it for something else in the future!!!*LOL*

Last year I finally realized it is better to use that to horde and treasure paper. It does fade at the edges and deteriorate, gets bent, frayed, and otherwise less wonderful then when you buy it. Now I try to use it to create treasures to send to family for birthdays and more. They seem to enjoy getting them too.

ITA!! Finally, I decided to always buy at least 2 sheets of the same paper at a time. Then when I cut into the first sheet, I can remind myself "You have another sheet...don't panic!" LOL

Well, I'm happy to be a "die cut diva" for quite awhile yet. I absolutely love die cuts. I use my Sizzix all the time.

Ah, paper hoarding. Hi, my name is Val and I'm a paper hoarder. ;) Is there an organization called PHA (Paper Hoarders Anonymous)?

I literally have "towers" of paper, both cs and dsp. But I too have started buying at least two sheets of really pretty dsp. I am really making an effort to use up some of my older paper though. Styles change and sometimes I look at paper I bought several years ago and I'm not sure why I thought it was so great. I do my best to run past the paper aisles in the stores now. I also try to use my personal paper stash to make cards for the church card ministry just to use it up faster.

What a wonderful way to use some of the old and excess stash. There are anumber of groups looking for handmade cards. I heard of one that makes cards available to military members to send back to their families. Our local Sunshine Club welcomes them too.

Thumbs up What's in a name?

I sure do like that so many "creative colleagues" have taken the time to respond to my original question. What is a card stock collector.
The list of how many entries it takes to move up the ladder, is mind boggling.
I hope some day to be higher up on the rung.
Until then I will remain an inspired, " Glitter Queen."
Thanks
Creative Colleagues

Wink moving on up

I saw that the rungs get harder to reach, oh well, it will keep me busy, my new goal is to get into a magazine, summerset, stampers sampler.
there are challenges in it too, just like the s.c.stampers,
so onto print!
keep on stamping!

There are so many places to find inspiration -- books, magazines, web sites and even the card racks in stores where I shop.

Happy to hear what a "Cardstock Collector" is. I couldn't imagine how that appeared by my name; I spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure out a way to change it

This one made me laugh out loud because I had the same thought!!! I've been referred to as a paper slut  but never a cardstock collector . I definitely prefer the latter of the two ;), though!

Oh my goodness Trish, do you know I feel the same way...especially the new line of the MY MINDS Eye Papers 1 & 2. It was so hard to cut into them so I made sure that I bought bunches of each of the papers I liked the most.

Hello, I am Marie House. I just joined this site. I am new to all this paper crafting but
I think it is a lot of fun. I love all aspects of paper crafting. I have the cricut imagine and Expression. My husband got the Imagine for me so I need to learn to do a good job at card making and other paper crafts.

Hello again,
I have been reading the latest posts you all sound like a lot of fun. I am glad I am not the only one who has trouble cutting into their stash. I had my wonderful, sweet, precious grand daughters over yesterday to do crafting. We were making valentine mail boxes for their desks, when it came to picking out paper, goodness, I had problems with cutting into some of it, Being new at this I am so afraid of messing the paper up.(at least that is what I tell myself) I think I am part hoarder of beautiful paper too. My DH says well we can buy more paper, you'll never learn if you don't make things.

When you find a paper you really love, scan it and save it as a JPG file. Then you can print it if you ever want it again. You can also lighten or darken it if you learn to use a photo editing program.

In any case, this may free your mind to use some of those papers you bought and love before they go out of style or your taste changes.;)
