Default What are they called and have you tried them?

A little while back, SCS, had a product focus on a new marker idea. These markers had a color lifter you could use to take color out of the tip of the marker so that when you started coloring the color would come back gradually and you would get amazing shading opportunities. You could get a lot of shades out of one marker! I can't seem to find them on the internet no matter what search terms I use.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Have you used them? If so, what are they like? I'm trying to find out more before SU's sale on Dec 1st. Help, please

Chameleon pens, I think is what you're looking for.

Yes!!! That's what they are called. They sure look inviting but I hesitate to miss out on the SU promo Dec 1st and I think the Chameleon pen are only available online. Arrgghhh...

What's your opinion on them? Will you be buying them or another brand?

Well, I have copics, and I like copics, but I only consider myself semi-proficient at copics. So I like having the different shades in different markers; I'm not sure I could do the blending with the chameleon well.

Also, I haven't watched any of the chameleon videos but based on what other people say, you have to put the color part in the blender and hold it there for 15 seconds or something, and what I do know about myself is that I am just. not. patient. enough. of a crafter for that process.

It sounds like a cool concept, though, if you can master the technique.

This was posted in another thread - we have an ad running for them right now - go to this link and the discount code for it is SCS1014 if you decide you like them. The thread with the chatter is here: one marker large color spectrum by birdie123 at Splitcoaststampers

I have heard from a two sources - one online and the other an SU demo that the Blendabilities are not worth buying?? Apparently they dry out quickly? Maybe that's why SU is offering them Dec 1st for such a good price - to clear them out and reformulate? Hmmm... I think I'll go with the Chameleon markers. I thought about Copics but they are very pricey.

I would definitely check those other threads. There is someone on there that didn't like them and may sell them to you. Check out Chaosmom
