I love card making and scrapbooking, but I am lost at envelopes. I know how to stamp one to coordinate with my card and how to put an insert to make it coordinate with my card but do you guys make them(how). Or do you buy them what is the deal with envelopes. I don't think I know the best way to go on envelopes. By the way I'm TriciaD. from Provo but right now at Ft. Rucker on active duty(DH) and soon to be SU demonstrator(once I get the guts).
Hi Tricia,
I just purchase envelopes from an office supply store, such as Staples or sometimes I buy them at Wal-Mart. If you make the decision to be an SU! Demonstrator I know you will not be disappointed. I have been a demo for a year and I love it. I still get excited when I know I have an order coming. I'm like a little kid at Christmas waiting for that 1st gift. Terri
I do make some of my envelopes, but mostly just buy them. I usually get them at Kelly Paper....in 250 piece lots. Somehow, they always get used. But, if you are looking for templates for envelopes, the best IMHO are the ones from Nick Romer of Green Sneakers...they are called Create-a-Lope. They are available on QVC. HTH
I buy mine at Office Depot and then stamp something that coordinates with the card on the outside of the envelope. I have also punched the envelope so that the part of the card that I want to show can be seen. I have not mailed the punced ones I am afraid the machines would catch and tear them.
I get different envelopes - including metallics and get them on www.actionenvelopes.com. You can get them in different lots depending on the color and type. They have colored envelopes, vellum and I adore the metallic envelopes. I put my Thanksgiving cards in Copper and had copper embossing on the card and it looked great. Good luck.
