Selling handmade cards

I have an opportunity to start selling my cards in a small store that my company runs. No looking to get rich nor quitting my 9-5 job, however does and can anyone give me advise about copyrighting knowledge low down in simple layperson terms.lol

For example if I buy an sizzix embossing folder, a simon says card kit, or a card template (box card) and use these items to make an original card, do I have to pay someone? Sometimes different website such as cricut and silhouette have in bracklets for personal use only.

I see on etsy and ebay other scrapbooking stuff that I know someone used a die cutting machine or is an Anne Griffin design from lets says a circut cartridge. Of course I know the basic like you can't use Disney or Frozen logo and pass it as my own.
Thanks for any help or suggestions in advance everyone.

Hi Miss Cat, that's great you have a chance to sell your cards! I don't know about embossing folders but with stamps, most stamp companies have an Angel Policy which says how you are to acknowlege them if you want to sell cards using their stamps. Here is a link you might find useful

Hi Cat! As long as you are not mechanically reproducing stamp images, you are fine to sell at craft fairs etc. handmade items.
