Ok, so I am trying to post to a forum I subscribed to, but I keep getting an error message:

stephsullins, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Any ideas!??

Steph, if you were trying to post in a swap thread, you now need to sign up as a "user" for the swap user group. Here is a thread that explains it:

Shrink dink is so much fun and can be used on cards, scrapbook pages, tags whatever you desire. They are so easy to do, I stamp with my large stamps (2" or larger seem to work best, they shrink about 1/2 their size) with staz-on, then color the object with my markers, I use brushables, then cut out and shrink (I use my heat gun since I usually do just a few at a time), apply with glue dots.

Welcome, Joanne.

There are all sorts of possibilities with Shrinky Dinks. There is also a version of Shrinky Dinks for inkjet printers. It has a special coating on the plastic so that you can print digital images and shrink those, too.

A common problem when using shrink plastic is having it curl. You need to heat or bake it long enough to lie completely flat.

Have fun experimenting with it.

Default Change cardstock collector?

I also need to know how to change "cardstock collector" designation. Any answers out there, yet?
Also, my avatar shows up on My Profile but not on my postings.

Now the avatar is there.

Something else to try. Normally, next to forum categories you'll see a little icon (shown below). When you log on to the forums, and you see an orange version, that means there are new postings in that forum category. Neat, huh?
Could you send me a tutorial on this. Don't understand what you are talking about.

Ooops! Actually, the part of the paragraph that I have colored is no longer applicable in our forums. SCS has experienced forum upgrades since this was posted in February, 2003. Currently, if you'll look over in your left column while reading this thread, you'll see "In the Forums" category, followed by "New Posts". That's the button that will show new posts to you since your last site visit. Additionally, you can still see an indicator of 'new posts' next to each forum title in the Forums at Splitcoaststampers of forums. If the square box next to the title is orange, this indicates new posts within that forum.

Thanks for the help!
And, I did post some replies and they did show up. I noticed that new
posts/replies go to the very end of the forum. Is there any way for me to 'sort' the messages, so the newest ones show up first? Or, is it 'just the
way it works', that newest message always drops to the end?
Thanks a bunch!

Yes, newest posts go to the bottom of the threads. As threads grow, page numbers are listed at the bottom of the thread.

Hope this helps!

Thank you very much for the mini-tutorial on how this whole message/forum/boards thing works. I'm new to the site and not very tech savvy. I'm really glad to see that it's a friendly site.....I'll do my best not to screw up!

Hi Jogulrich, you've got more experience than I. Have you joined any groups & if so what do you recommend? Where are you located I? I am new to stamping & wanting to go 50 mph, but having to hold the reigns in until I can learn the trick of the trade. Any guidance would be greatly accepted & appreciated. JoWitney
