Here we go:
  • Type the word you wish to 'link'.
  • Highlight the word with your mouse.
  • Click on the blue/green earth symbol with the chain link in front of it. You'll find this right above the text box.
  • In the new box, fill in the URL of whatever link you wish to use. If you are doing a copy & paste URL, you will first need to delete the Forums at Splitcoaststampers that you see in the box.
  • When your URL is set, click OK ... and your word is linked.
Give a try! HTH!

New to this forum, and I'm looking for anyone who knows which ink pads produce the best "Black" color. Most are in a grey tone. Your help is much appreciated.

Welcome Hoppin 1!

I really like the Versafine Onyx Black. A lot of people also like the Memento Tuxedo black, though I haven't tried it yet.

Here is a link to a recent discussion on black ink:

I almost exclusively use the Versafine Onxy Black - nice, crisp lines, especially when using word stamps.

Hi I'm Brenda and I'm from MO and just getting on this site. I have looked around and there is so much. I can't wait to figure it all out. But I really enjoy all the cards so much. I love the stamps and can't wait to get my first Bella stamp. I found one and now can't figure out how to locate it.

No tuxedo ink at Michaels today but was a little disappointed . Usually they will take the 40% off one item plus the 20% off regular priced items but she wouldn't let me do that today. Got some awesome butterfly paper. Jo Ann's used three coupons the last time I was there.

new and slightly confused (story of my life!)

Hi
I just joined yesterday and I am soooooooo overwhelmed with all the sites, galleries, forums, etc.

My biggest problem right now is how to post photos of my work. I want to be able to post photos of the scrapbook albums I make for my clients to see examples to help them determine what they want to order. There is also a group of us at work who have just started meeting once a week to try out new stamping techniques and projects. I'd like to be able to tell them about this site so we could all share in the challenges that are listed.

What is the best way to do that? What's the difference between my gallery and my albums? If I post pictures in a specific area (like mini albums) will it also show up on my personal site under "my gallery" or "my albums"?

Send out the search party...I'm lost....

I love stamping, but I also love designer paper. So much so that I have scads of it I could probably wallpaper my entire home with. I see it, I love it, I buy it and it stops there. No creativity as far as using it and incorporating it into my cards. Any ideas? (P.S. My first posting other than replies - did I do this right???)

I too have lots of DP but have found a card front using all this type of paper. It is called "Iris Folding" and you can goggle onto the site and print out tons of different pages of designs to make. The site is: Iris [email protected] You will not be disappointed making these card fronts. I have been so busy making the egg design for Easter!! Good luck. evette

To Brenda from MO....google Bella stamps and it should give you sites to go to order them. If not go to wood rubber stamps or clear stamps...which ever the Bella stamps are. Good luck. Hope it helps some. ekc

I too have piles of paper. Some of it I use to make decorative covers for sticky notes and notepads. Scrapbook with it first add pictures later. ( That's me ) I don't know if anyone else does that. If I love a paper I play with it, look in magazines for ideas and go from there. I am more a scrapbooker than a stamper but use stamping ideas in my scrapbooking.

Hi. This is my first time on this site. What if there is a closed thread and you want to ask some questions on it? I received a welcome email after I registered on Splitcoatsstampers that had a link on it to send cards to the troops. However, the last entry is dated July 2008.

Welcome!
That's a very good question. When moderators have 'closed' a thread, it indicates that no further replies will be permitted on that particular item. Thanks so much for your understanding.

I joined a while ago, but just used the site for "looking." I have just recently started posting comments on cards and downloading some of my own. I noticed that under my user name are the words: "glitter queen" Where did that come from? I went to my profile and can't find anywhere where that appears. It so happens that I am not fond of glitter, unless it is stickles, so can't imagine where that came from!!!! This is the most incredible web site! I can't thank all of you moderators for the awsome job you do!! Hope to hear from one of you soon! My curiosity is killing me about that "glitter queen!" I just posted this and now it says "embossing fanatic"!!! Someone has a sense of humor?!?!

Hi there, and welcome to SCS! We're always happy to know when someone leaves the ranks of "lurker/looker" to really begin to enjoy what we have to offer here. I think this thread, Forums at Splitcoaststampers will answer your questions. It's okay! You can change that Glitter Queen title in a hurry.
